I am one of the people who are coming to realize the association with the pirate flag and flag theft. What I originally thought was if you put anything up high the game was to steal it. I am going to be sporting my Jolly Roger and I like Meg's idea of the bells(although the wind might give a few false alarms).
I guess I could always bribe them with some new eye patches or other booty. Any other ideas? I am intent on capturing these assailants.
This is why I have a bland lime green flag (18" x40" with a pink flamingo on top). It is boring but very distintive so no theft but easy to spot and remember. Stop by if you see it, especially at supper time as we feed the whole community.
The four people in my crew are all helping to make our flag. We just bought a yard of fabric from WalMart, some paint (including glow in the dark paint) and came up with a design thanks to my artistically inclined girlfriend.

Yea some ass stole my pirate flag (black with skull and crossbones) in 2007. It sucked because I borrowed it from my roommates at the time. All I can say is I feel sorrow for the person I catch stealing anything from anyone around my camp. I like to forget about my military days and live life being a peaceful civilian, I would hate to have to revert back to my Airborne Infantry ways...

I did the same thing, only I made 2 hanging flags that are 30" x 20", one says "Camp Big G" and one says "Are you dready or knot?". Hopefully nobody steals them as I took like 6 hours in making the whole thing.
