How did the new showers work out for the people who tried them? Did the people who were adamant about daily showering end up sticking to their plans? Did the dust alter your plans?
I just went with the usual wet wipes and a big bottle of water, esp. with the dust this year I thought a real shower was wasted time, money and energy, considering i would be about as dirty again by the time I got back to camp.

i didnt really think about it much cuz the past 2 years ive gone showerless, but having an RV with a shower was AWESOME. To cool down and change before headliners/latenight really rocked. ;D
I wasn't planning on showering anyway, but with the way the dust coated anything wet, I felt it would be a waste of money. One of my friends brought a camping shower so I did douse myself with cold water under that once.
i didnt go last year but we went on saturday morning and it was spectacular....hot water (although ive heard some people got only cold water) and all that stuff, yea it was pointless with the dust, but it still wakes u up in a nice way, unlike the hot sun. plus it is fun watching all the water turn brown when ur takin the shower. i kinda wanted to take another one monday mornin but they were shut down.

I took one shower during the weekend (on Friday night...the lines were too long in the mornings) and I didn't feel it was a waste of money. It was refreshing and I just walked back to camp and was clean through the next day. I found the showers to be pleasant...I had hot water. They were very tiny, but at that point I didn't care!

VIP showers were wonderful. The only trick was trying to get in them before the lines started at 8:00. The occasional mid-day fully clothed shower also proved handy in beating the Tennessee heat.
The daily shower was a huge boost to our health, sanity, and energy levels.
No complaints about VIP showers here. On par with many college / high school gym showers but more private (individual stalls). Not the Ritz, for sure, but perfectly acceptable imo for portashowers in the middle of a field. My wife said similar things about them.
Water wasn't always hot and pressure was poor at times but it never was too cold or too slow to shower comfortably, even at peak moments, and the shower really helped to keep us fresh and active.
Lines at peak times meant maybe a 15-20 minute wait for an open shower but never a hassle for me or my wife. We got up, made coffee and oatmeal, sat and ate and woke up, then strolled over and got in line. No worries.
As for dust, I was usually dry within 2 minutes of leaving the shower. Hair was dry before I made it back to camp. My wife's hair (which is down past her tailbone long and there is a lot of it) also dried in record time so there was no extra stickiness from showering to attract dust. Quite the opposite, showering seemed to help keep us from get sticky.
Oh, and showering off all that dust and grime every day made application of spf30 much easier. The first day I had to apply spf while dirty and it was like an little impromptu exfoliation treatment. :/
If we had been paying per-shower we still probably would have taken one a day each. It was just too nice and refreshing to pass up.

I took a shower in the fountain on a daily basis. Not necessarily to get clean, but just to cool off and soak myself in the frigid water coming from that fountain. It was probably the best decision I made all weekend. Even if you come out coated in dust 30 min later just getting cooled off from the water is totally worth it.
I walked past the pay showers on shakedown at 7something friday morning and the guy was saying only 5 dollars if you have all 1s, so i took one. Let me tell ya, that shower gave me a huge boost of energy and I felt cleaner all day. The rest of the time it was either fount or water station washin
I took a shower everyday in the guest area... They were pretty clean. I dunno about the Garnier Fructis sponsorship, because I only saw them there the first day. It was def nice to shower each day, but I ended up feeling gross again a few minutes after the shower!

I took a shower and while it felt pretty good, it definitely wasn't worth $7. No shampoo or conditioner (the attendant said they ran out the first day), cold water, long line. Next year I'll just go back to baby wipes. Met some nice people in line, though!
My neighbors took a $& shower on Sat and were sorely disappointed. No water pressure and like warm water.
I've never paid but I bathed in the troughs every day at about 6pm. It washes the daytime funk off and energizes me for the night shift. I can't imagine not doing it. It is sooooo nice. Cool and free.
The Guest area was a pretty small private camping area right behind the Which Stage... In the backstage area. A lot of artists' guests and media people stayed back there.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I hit the VIP showers around 6pm or so each night... Pointless in the morning, when the lines are longest and you have a whole grimy day in front of you.
The showers were pretty small, the water smelled funky, the pressure sucked, and they went from hot to cold without rhyme or reason... But let me tell you, after a long sweaty day, heading into the evening, they were the best fucking showers I ever took.
i forgot all my vip woes while I was in that last shower after the white stripes. Got all cleaned up before we pulled up to go home. It had to be one of the best showers ever.
I didn't even care that the water would go cold in the mornings, it was nice to walk back outside with cold hair anyways.
I think if I was in GA i'd rig up my own shower, with one of those camp shower things. Better than nothing, and you don't have to pay for it.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
Our neighbors did the $7 showers and said it was refreshing, but they were very pretty and very groomed people.
I used the water station near our tent for a quick AM wash of the pits, super grimy spots and two mornings also had a quick shampoo, mainly to refresh than to cleanse. Everything else was kept clean thanks to baby wipes. I didn't really see a need for more for me, and the cold well water felt really good in the morning.
By time I walked back to my tent, my hair was predominately dry and my body was 100%. It was a good thing, and I am the freak who wakes up at 7am even if I go to bed at 4am, so I had the water station almost to myself.
I Took a shower every day. I even took one about an hour after we pulled in on thursday, just cause they were there and they were free. It felt great. I actually took 2 showers on one of the days, just cause i could. Sweetness. Definitely a perk of VIP.
I only noticed a line at like maybe 8:00 in the morning one day. I just waited until it was gone because it didn't seem to ever last too long. Others who camped closer to the showers may know better, though.

any line for showers or bathrooms in VIP?
i noticed a line at the GUY's bathroom every morning, that made me snicker ;D never saw a line at the ladies room
i only hit a line for the shower in the AM on friday, other than that it was wide open! night time was definitely the best time to shower, plenty of hot water. the cold water felt good during the day anyway, so it was win win!
