I saw lines each morning for the VIP showers, but thought it was pointless... Why shower and then slather up with sunscreen, walk into the dustbowl and get all sweaty?
I saved my showers for 5-6pm, right when the sun and temperatures started to go down. No lines, very refreshing, and made me feel like a million bucks for late night festivities.
I used the same routine as last year by using the melted ice water from my coolers around 6pm each day. One of my campmates noticed our neighbors (who were very nice people) had one of those portable showers and decided to "borrow" a shower. We tried to talk him out of it, but he thought he could get in and out before anyone noticed. Well, our neighbors returned as he was in the middle of his shower. He was so busted! Anyway, the neighbors laughed it off with the rest of us and everything was cool, but the photos I have of the incident make me laugh everytime I look at them.

I tent camped with some people that had an RV and we were all supposed to get a daily shower. I wound up taking one shower in the RV before they ran out of water. They didn't fill up until later the next day, so I said screw the shower and took a bowl and my toiletries to the water station and washed up with all the half naked people. It was actually not bad at all. I filled my bowl with water and scrubbed up a little and then doused myself...lather, rinse, repeat. I'll probably skip the RV next year and just go tennt only, since I didn't use the RV at all.
They were amazing. I decided to test them out Sunday morning. While I was rinsing off in the shower, it broke or something, so everyone that was currently in the shower got a refund, but once they were fixed ( about 10 min. later) we got to get back in for free. Not a bad deal, I'd say. Can't beat 1 and a half free hot showers at Roo. Very refreshing too.

I was doing good with the whole baby wipe idea until sunday morning when my hair became way to matted for me to try to wash at camp so i made the 30 sec hike to shakedown and took a shower. even though i was dirt 20 mins later they were def. worth it! =)

me and the wife took showers right about the time everyone was going to see TOOL almost no one was there. GREAT SHOWER!!! i felt so much better. by the time we went back to camp and ate some dinner i was so relaxed that i passed out. almost missed the superjam. i woke up in time to catch the last half. a late day shower is the only way too go.

I went to shower Friday or Saturday evening but they were locked and no one was manning the table so i said screw it and stripped down between the tent and the car using cooler water and soap....too bad the neighbors came back mid-shower I had tapestry up but it didn't cover all the holes.... oh well, i laughed it off and apparently they weren't too upset about it. It was a great stamina boost, but i dont think i'll try for another $7 shower this year.
i too found them nasty . the 1st day they were clean . but day 2 they too were covered in dust, that was sticking to the walls. the curtains were even more nasty . nevertheless i used them 2 or 3 times a day anyway . nothing beat the heat of 07 like a quick dedusting

The showers were awsome, I will pay $5 to go into the female showers anyday. On sunday I was asked buy the shower lady guard if I would mind going into the female side to make the line go faster. I didnt mind at all, and I got a shower and a show for the price of one. This one girl had the nerve to say "I'am coming out, if anybody is bothered buy a naked women than dont look".

^^Lol We were way in the back over the wobbly woodent walkways, all the way down by a fence, over that fence (friendly locals) there was a farm with a neat little set up shower station, $5. Didnt get one until Sunday morning. But man, it really juiced me up! Until five seconds later when a four wheeler drove by and threw dust all over me. Bastardos!!

Everyday the lines were long in VIP and I wasn't standing for 20 min. in the sun. That's why I brought this.
Took a shower when I wanted. It's well worth the money.
where do you find one of those? is it coleman? I tried to do a search, but all I came up with on amazon was a solar powered shower pump for $15... still cool, and I think I may go with that, but I want to see this little shower room!

You can get both of them at wal*mart in the spring but i don't think i've seen any since the end of summer. I'm sure you can get them year round on their website.

Except for a few times, I used the female showers in VIP. They were so much cleaner than the mens...which doesn't make sense to me. I mean - why did the filth from the men cling to everything inside the shower while the womens showers were so clean?
The first time I didn't know one was female and one was male... The second time I did, but since no one cared - neither did I

I brought a solar shower to roo and it was pretty nifty.. I only used it once though, haha. I think it was Sunday morning that I caved in and decided to shower.. the hot water was a pretty nice treat, but you can mos def do roo showerless.. it might be a good idea however to take a shower before the trip home!
I really didn't mind being dirty, and I could be called a girly-girl. I stipped down to skivvies and did a bit of washing and hair shampooing at the troughs near my campsite (non-VIP). Now if it rained and the place was muddy, a hot solar shower WOULD be a kick-arse addition to the Bonnaroo arsenal...
I used one of the Coleman battery-powered shower heads too. It worked great and I was surprised by how much water pressure it supplies, but next year I might bring some solar bags to heat the water. It takes 4 D-Cell batteries. Between my friends and I, we took about 5-6 showers total for the weekend with it and never had to change the batteries. It's about 15-20 bucks depending where you buy it. That's not much split b/t a group of people. Definitely a luxury item, but I would recommend this.
