If this has been posted before, please forgive. I randomly found this and thought it might be useful... It would eat through your ice, but we always do the frozen bottle thing anyways... maybe if you had a cooler filled with frozen 2L bottles just for this purpose it wouldn't be so bad... If only it were solar!
Those do seem wicked cool (ha!)... But I seem to remember some sciency-type person saying those won't work very well in the 'Roo atmosphere because it's too humid.
^Kinda what I was thinking... just for the mornings so I could sleep a bit. I'll admit the humidity won't help, but if it even got me another 30 minutes of sleep it would be well worth it.

that is correct. this works off the same principal that the old swamp coolers for cars worked off of. it simply will not work in an environment where there is a lot of humidity.
they are desidned to work in dry, low humidity climates. and in areas where it is low humidity, they work very well.
