get the as many day cooler you can...and keep the half bag ice man away. I was not too impressed with having a half bag of ice everytime I would go buy one!
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
The 100 QT 5 days are the way to go! My krewe and I took two last year, and they were awesome. One of them we just filled w/ ice and frozen water bottles which was fine...but the real trick was the second cooler.
We lined the bottom w/ a triple layer of ice packs, those Igloo frozen inserts and some dry ice and then covered that w/ a folded up cheapie plastic painters tarp to make a second bottom, then just used it like a fridge. It stayed nice and cool all weekend and since it was SO big we still had plenty of room inside. You could probably pull that off w/ any large cooler, but like I said it was nice to still have a ton of room.
"We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are Barry Jive and his Uptown Five. "
We took one, and still had frozen water on Monday. Also a good way to hide bottles, by burying them on the bottom...if you were the kind of person who wanted to skirt the rules like that...which I don't condone at all.
Best investment ever! I looked at a number of coolers, and this was by far the most sturdy & well-designed. Instead of crappy plastic wheels, it has nice rubber "tires." Should be available at your local WalMart for about $25 or so (if I remember correctly).

I have it and it is nice but will not keep ice for 5 days when it's over 90

This might be true, but I filled it with pre-frozen water bottles, and still had most of the remaining bottles either frozen or very cold at the end of Roo last year. I left my cooler out all the time, and it was partially shaded by my shade tent/tarps during the day. But I couldn't keep it out of the sun 100% of the time.
Bottom line is, if ease of movement on wheels is a high priority, then give this a serious look. I also brought along a Coleman 5-Day (it was a gift), and the wheels are crap.

eep! i've never had to buy a cooler before, so I had no idea they were this expensive ($60-80 range) Maybe it's okay to be a little dependent and ask mom and dad to borrow one, haha
^^^^^ Yea, borrow if you can...I bought mine, but it hasnt seen much use since LAST 'Roo. Also you can usually get them on the cheaper side from a Sams Club or Cost Co. if you know anyone whose membership card you can borrow!

There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard. No song that I could sing. But I can try for your heart Our dreams, and they are made out of real things Like a, shoebox of photographs With sepiatone loving Love is the answer
A little feeling in my gut that I get of late when I think about these cats running the world with hate
Can anyone tell me the ice situation in VIP? Can we get ice...is it free...is it a long haul back to your camp site? Thanks!
VIP is a VERY short walk to the store. A small bag is about $3.49 It kept my regular cooler going each day and my 5 day was set with dry ice. They do drive around and deliver, but is was NEVER there when they did
