^^^I totally agree with you. Nothing aggravates me more than seeing someone in the dead of winter wearing a blue jean mini with a blazer and uggs. I don't know if this is a southern phenomena or what but, I swear I see all the time.

We get similar things here but add a layer of leggings under the skirt. The girls I see wearing skirts and no leggins are always running as quickly as possible for the nearest cab.
"Son, whats say we get the hell out of here for the weekend... um... hike old rag? ok lets go" (Old Rag is a great hike in VA)
I love Old Rag! What an awesome hike. Complete with death defying rock jumps, a full-body shimmy up a vertical tunnel and tons of downhill, when it's all over. If anyone ever makes it over to the Shenandoahs, check out that circuit hke. Completely amazing.
Its really a great hike. Try it with a framepack.. now thats fun.
I've seen girls in California who wear Uggs with bathing suits. I don't know, to me that's like wearing a bikini with leggings.
Uggs and Crocs are ugly. I made one concession on the Uggs, guess I'll be making another on the Crocs. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
well i wouldnt do it but to be fair, uggs were created in Australia where alot of surfers where em!
Good point, Becca! I love that Uggs do not cause my feet to sweat. It's kind of amazing how warm they keep you and yet your feet remain sweat-free.
I bought a pair of pink Uggs for my 80 year old mother a few years ago. When she opened them, she said "these are for young people!" Two minutes later, she had them on and hasn't stopped raving about them since. I think she's actually worn them outside of the house, too!
Ohhh. Hmmm. Can you wear Uggs in the snow? Does it damage the suede?
i wear mine in the snow all the time! i water proofed them. the only thing that seems to have damaged them is the salt. and that makes me SO mad! they get like a salt line on them like some people get on the bottom of their jeans.

Uggs are the most amazing shoe ever! I was so against them at first then I put a pair on and ended up buying two pairs. I literally wanted to sleep in them they are SOOOO comfy! So there, boy! :-P lol
Hey, do whatever's right for you. I'm just saying that they look like they were made for eskimos with huge kankles.
Are you sure you don't secretly want to try a pair and see what all the hype is about lol? I'll bring a pair to 'Roo and you can try them out lol :-P

Here I am (right out of the shower) in my kariza last year. Mine is the shorter length so I just wear it as a skirt. I wore it all day and I don't remember being bothered by it - but I don't remember much of that day at all, really.
You'll also notice that I don't mind showing my bra straps at Roo, but normally I wear wide-strapped tanks so that my messenger bag and folding lawn chair I carry don't eat at my shoulders all day.
i love karizas!!! i own like 4 of em...and as of now, thats what im wearing to roo...i just want more to add to my collection...
summer time, long skirts are all i wear...i love them...so comfy and cute!!
There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard. No song that I could sing. But I can try for your heart Our dreams, and they are made out of real things Like a, shoebox of photographs With sepiatone loving Love is the answer
A little feeling in my gut that I get of late when I think about these cats running the world with hate

100% correct! Hence me finally giving into them, I figured since I surfed I had a real excuse to buy them...then I tried them on and realized how amazingly comfortable they are!

I know I may be a little old school still have my belly button pierced...but I like it... The problem is I can't find any navel rings that I like anymore...I'm not into the cheesy dangle one's or the big crystally one's. I've been looking for a good website to buy cute belly rings for a while now but I can't find one!
Can anyone help me out? I want to have a cute belly ring for roo!
p.s. sometimes there are cute hand made one's on etsy but right now there's not
"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has the power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, Rejoice, for your soul is alive."
OK, a lot has gone on since i browsed here yesterday!
Andrea - Yay! good to see you on here!
Uggs: I don't like them, but I like them more than crocs. A lot of it has to do with how they are worn...(no attempting to tuck your sweatpants in them, so they bulge like genie pants! ) The black ones look waaaaay better than the tan/brown colors.

You bring some in a men's size 10.5 and I'll definitely give them a go. Roo is one of the few places where I wouldn't be beaten up for wearing them so I think it's a safe place to explore some other shoe options.

hello all of my inforoo girls (and some of the guys)!
I know some of you were asking about where to get sun dresses, flowy tops, etc.
There is this website called Gypsy Rose that has a lot of cute stuff! Dresses, skirts, tops, shoes, accessories... a lot. They also have tons of pretty nice stuff for guys too!
You can go to their website at www.gypsyrose.com and look around or request for the catalogues. I love getting their new catalogues in the mail because the art work is so creative and cool... but this place is a good find for bonnaroo-related attire

I was OBSESSED with gypsy rose and ebay last year. I think it's about to start again. Boo.
Very pretty! I'm hoping to find a light colored Kariza, too. My jet black hair absorbs enough heat...I don't need to attract the heat to my body, too!
I have dark hair too. It can get hot to the touch if I stand in the sun. My strategy this year is a white bandana and braids... with flowy skirts and dresses.
