Okay, so we went on a cruise over Thanksgiving and I got a manicure. She asked me if I wanted shellac, "won't chip for 2 weeks". Sure, great, fabulous. Well as they do, my nails grew and it started to look weird so I tried to take the polish off and it wouldn't come off! Finally it started to peel off and now my nails look like shiz and are breaking constantly. What did she do to me?!?
This made me lolz. It's "gel" polish. I prefer to go to a quickie nail salon and have them remove it (I usually get charged about $5). But I usually get another gel manicure when I get my old one removed.
If you need to remove them at home, you'll need pure acetone, cotton balls and strips of aluminum foil.
Saturate the cotton balls in the acetone, press onto the nail and wrap foil around pad of finger, over the nail. Repeat for all nails, obviously. Leave wrapped for 30 minutes.
The shellac polish adheres to the top layer of the nail so regular nail polish won't take it off. By peeling the polish off, you peeled the top layer of the nail off as well, which is why your nails look like shiz. They really should have explained this to you! I had to do extensive research my first time getting it done. I really do like the shellac polish though. I can't wear regular nail polish for more than 12 hours before I chip it away. This gel polish lasts for weeks. Only problem is, you really gotta like the color because you're kind of stuck with it.
I wish I had known there was a way to get it off. I will say it was the most awesome manicure I've ever had and it did not chip, peel or fade for weeks. Anything I can/should do to the nails now to help them recover?
Just bought my first festival dress of the year last night at TJ Maxx!!! I can't wait for festi season...and warm weather I need a tutor to help me post pictures!!
Someone yell at me if I should really just go back & read through more of this thread... but does anyone else just find it hard to wear more than a bathing suit top & some shorts given the heat all day? I keep trying to plan on wearing more than that & then deciding it's just too darn hot. I'm not really a dress kinda gal, but is that the way to go? Or is it totally cool to just continue dressing like I'm a 19 year old & stick with the bikini top?
Side note: It is February and I'm already seriously considering what I'm gonna pack come June. I'm so glad to see in this thread that I'm not the only one.

There is a discussion in here somewhere on dresses vs. everything else, but who knows where
If I were 20 years younger I would totally be in just a bikini for the whole of Bonnaroo! Having said that, I choose the more modest route of light cotton dresses. Shorts are not good to wear in my opinion. I would wear what is comfortable for you, if that's a bikini, then do it! No one at Bonnaroo cares what you wear. And yes that really is true!
And yes many of us start planning our clothes this early

This year I'm thinking tank tops and flowy skirts. I just purchased a dress and a tapestry for Roo and while the dress doesn't look right on I'm super excited to be getting clothes for Roo!

I am in the same boat! Bonnaroo clothing is all that has been on my mind lately! (I also bought a dress off of Etsy that I thought would be perfect for Bonnaroo, tried it on and hate it...oh well). I mainly just wear maxi skirts and tank tops as well (takes less room to pack)! At night I will usually wear some sort of printed pant, minnetonka boots so that my feet don't get torn apart if getting stepped on, and the same tank from the day (maybe some sort of long sleeve if its cold and the pants aren't doing it). SO EXCITED FOR BONNAROO CLOTHING!!!

I just bought 2 cotton flowy skirts from here, the shipping is not cheap because it's in India, but the skirts are a good price and really pretty: www.etsy.com/shop/fashiononaindia
I just really find shorts uncomfortable. They always bunch up on me. So I'm a flowy skirt and tank top girl all summer long. If I were thinner/had smaller boobs I'd probably be a skirt and bikini top girl, but I don't want to knock someone out with the ladies.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Ditto to that! And I could also use some 8 minute abs before even considering it.
hey ladies!! I scored some amazing NEON bras at Walmart today. They are called "The Best Bra Ever" or something like that! There are tons of neon colors... pink, yellow, blue, stripes! And only $5 and perfect for Roo! Thought I would share!
I also may have ordered a dance ribbon and wand from eBay. Add some glow in the dark paint and you've got yourself a good time!
I probably shouldn't have said shorts... that was kinda a lie. I think I wore shorts one day last year & then wore some jean skirts & loose cargo type capris the rest of the weekend (which were by far my most comfy option). Maybe I'll try out some flowy skirts this year... time to start sifting at thrift shops
I know I posted this last year too (and in the Facebook Inforoo group) but I'm going to share it again because it has a lot of festival fashion ideas plus recipes and my personal fest staples (tea tree soap!).
My Bonnaroo board on Pinterest:
I update it all the time and I like to see what other people have in their Bonnaroo boards so if you have one share it.

Love this time of year! GFT gets busy again!
I often find good deals on summer clothes at the thrift shops this time of year. Although I have a few dresses which have become festival staples; I still like to check out the good deals. Normally I detest shopping, but shopping for Bonnaroo is different for some reason.
I'm also looking into getting a Genie Bra....there's a few pages celebrating the greatness of them. My question is, should I get the regular Genie Bra 6 pack? Or the, same price, 3 pack of Milana Bras? Any input ladies?
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

We did talk about the Genie Bra and the Ahh Bra here and I thought about getting one. After talking to my sister in law who has one I decided it's a definite. She and her (very large breasted) best friend went out and bought them and they both say they're great. It's definitely on my Roo 2014 shopping list.
