camelbak has a new product called camelbak elixir, it's like the gatorade crystals, but made so it doesn't mess up the insides of the camelbak. does anyone have experience using gatorade/crystal light crystals in a camelbak? if so, did you have any problems with operation/cleaning after using them? i'm just wondering if messing up the camelbak is a legitimate concern, i didn't know it would be a problem. i usually just drink water anyway.
Nah, you'll be fine, as long as you clean it out pretty well when you get home. Warm water and a little bit of bleach cleans out the bladder just fine.
Shouldn't be a problem, Camelbak liners are pretty impervious, after washing, make sure you dry it WELL to avoid mold. I just stick a couple of paper towels in to keep it somewhat puffed up and store it with the cap off.
