ok so i know this has been said before somewhere and i was wondering if someone could give me some more info about it...
when entering, i understand if you have more then 1 car in your party, you tell the security that your in a group with the car behind you....and then pull off to the side. Is this fairly easy to do? if i remember correctly from last year, it was a little difficult to keep everyone together cuz it seemed like there were a good amount of entrance checkpoints.
im sorry if this seems like a constant question.....

you just kinda have to be ontop about it... we didnt have many problems.. you just kinda pull to the side and wait if you have to. or if your in line, tell the car in the middle of you and your friends that you need to get by your friends, and if they are kind people, they will let you through. my experience anyhew ;D
You don't nec. need to pull off to the side, and if you are in one of the center lines that will be difficult for you to do. Probly best to just pull up a little so the cars behind you can be checked, have the first car and the last car keep in contact via cell phone too..

Once you hit the gates, just be sure to tell the security/cops working that you are trying to keep together. They may not put you in the SAME line, but it's been my experience that they will put your close. Last year when my krewe arrived we got spaced out a little, but they were sending people into the grounds themselves in waves after the last gate, so we all just pulled over to the side until our last car came out. Then THEY stopped and let us slide back into line in front of them, allowing us all to merrily caravan into our campsite...

awesome...well now two people might not be able to make it, due to the recent discovery of an addition to their family (awe so very happy for them) so now we may only have one car...

The mounted cops actually told us to keep it moving when we tried to wait up for buddies. They were DlCKS about it. Half our group ended up pulling off to the side once we got a good distance away from the security checkpoint.
