our neighbor had brought a keg of homebrew... didnt seem to have an issue. it was a tall, thin keg - not a regular barrel. he disguised it in something else. he wasnt vending or anything - and i drank a ton of it. it was really good beer, although he kept telling us we were drinking it to make him feel better. very strange...
I brought a pony keg of Spaten last year. Nobody said a word.
Into VIP or GA
VIP. On Saturday morning, Joga and I took a short trip back to M'boro to resupply and swim. I got the pony keg and several six packs of good beer (in bottles, I know that's a no-no, but we were very mindful of where the glass was going once the beer was removed) and we weren't hassled one bit on the way back in.
The biggest issue you face on I-24 is the cops. The 'roo traffic should all be pulled over on the shoulder and if you stay to the left you should be able to fly right on by.
coming from dallas and have thought about avoiding 24 and coming in from the west more. is this worth it? i will add about an hour or more i'm guessing. are the back roads not heavily patrolled?
During 'roo all roads heading in that direction are partrolled. Every small town and county law enforcement agency is out in force looking for 'roo goers. I would just stick to the interstate if it gets your there faster. Just make sure to follow all traffic laws. One major law that a lot of people from out of state do not think about is that if a police car has someone pulled over to the side you must clear the lane next to them.
