I'm hoping someone can help me out here. My friends and I are taking a Greyhound down, but I have a few questions pertaining to what our best options are once we get there. I'm pretty sure we'll be taking the bus into Nashville. I've looked into schedules that would take us to Murfreesboro and Manchester, but they seem to add a considerable amount of time onto the trip, due to long layovers. The Nashville bus will get us there around 8:00 on Wednesday night.
So firstly, I understand the campground is open on Wednesday, but if we were to show up, even without a car, would we be stuck waaaaay out there or would we still be able to get into tent-only? Would it be a better idea to stay in Nashville the night and catch a shuttle on Thursday?
Secondly, if we decided to set up camp on Wednesday, what types of options would we have for getting there from Nashville on Wednesday night?
Sorry if any of this has been answered elsewhere. I looked around and searched but couldn't find anything.
If I were in your shoes I would stay in Nashville Wed. night and catch the airport shuttle to the grounds on Thursday. That way, you will be dropped off at tent-only and won't have to worry about lugging your stuff into the grounds from the Greyhound station.
To the best of my knowledge, the official Bonnaroo shuttles won't start running until Thursday anyway, and I would hate for you to get to the grounds on Wed. night and get stuck in BFE.
cool. I think the decision clincher will be whether we can get into tent-only on Wednesday night or not. Perhaps I will fire off an email to the Bonnaroo people and see if I get anything more than an automatic response.
