Hello all. I've heard a good bit from a lot of posters about the wonders of under armour at bonnaroo. what under armour products would they be referring to? is it something you'd wear under a normal shirt or is it a stand-alone shirt? Seems to me like it would be hotter than just a normal shirt. so tell me what yall think about wearing it at bonnaroo and post some links to the specific products if you can.
thanks for responding man.....i looked up under armour boxers on ebay and they all just look like compression shorts. that waistband looks like it would get downright painful. is this what everyone's talkin about? is the general idea just to have silk boxers? a link would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
PS- so I was off-base about the under armour shirts?

They probably wouldn't be hotter, but i dont find them very comfortable or worth the price difference of any other shirt. The compression short ones is what people are usually talking about, keeps everything from moving around too much and breaths.
There wouldn't be any point to wearing a shirt over an UA shirt. As a replacement it would be cooler than a typical cotton shirt and would still protect you from being cooked in the sun. When I played soccer they kept me really cool, excellent ventilation.
The briefs are pretty much just compression shorts. I probably wouldn't bother myself, I think normal underwear would cut it. They are comfrotable, the waistband isn't anything to worry about. Just don't think the shorts would be worth the money. Comfortable, but I don't think they would give a huge edge. That's just me though.
i think i might have to give the UA briefs a shot. i've never been a fan of compression shorts due to the waistband and breathability issues, but it sounds like these could solve the problems and cut down on some serious chaffage.

That is the word on them. I've never had much of a problem with the chaffage issue until recently, might check these out for roo myself.

The difference that UA makes is heat wicking. If you're going to wear anything over a UA tshirt, make it a very thin linen buttondown, not a regular cotton tshirt. The magic of UA really kicks in when you go to the washing stations, take off your UA shirt, soak it in cold water, and put it back on.
