This is the first year I'll be bringing a Camelbak. Will I be able to bring it into Centeroo already filled up, or will they make me empty it and fill it up inside Centeroo? I know they usually make you empty any unsealed bottles so I was just curious. Thanks..
i have taken a camelbak for the past 3 years. i have never had to pour it out! the only advice i have is to add a little bit of ice and it makes a world of difference!
I took in a full Camelbak last year every day....couldn't have survived without it. I didn't have a single problem.
On the ice tip, I froze water bottles in my cooler last year and I cut open and dumped 2 completely frozen bottles into my bladder each morning. The water stayed nice and cold all day.

Yes and Yes. I've brought my camelbak every year. Mine was quite comfortable without a shirt and they feel absolutely incredible on your back. Just don't forget the ice!!!
Now you just told me that friendship is all I'm forced to repair the breech in my wall Illusions and dreams, as usual, it seems Sabra girl, they've been my downfall
i wouldn't say a camelbak is comfortable, but i guess it depends on how much you try to pack into it. i have one that is made for females and it is still a little uncomfotable. and as far as the water keeping your back cold. i would say it might last 20 minutes in the bonnaroo sun!
i would say it is worth it. they keep you hydrated. i bought one two years ago for bonnaroo and still use it. i think i got mine for $50 on sale. you can always buy a different brand that fits your budget. the key is freezing all your water bottles before you leave. we froze two cases, which took some time, but in a 5 days cooler in the shade they lasted all weekend! it was really nice to have cold water!
Mine was definitely worth it. I could stick all my stuff in it and even strapped a rolled up blanket onto it so I had a nice spot to sit. It worked as a back rest / pillow too. And having nice, cold water all day is a blessing that you will come to appreciate.

That is very true. Mine is not an actual Camelbak and I can't remember the name of it right off. Found it at Sportsman's Warehouse for $30 and I liked it better than any of the Camelbaks they had. Like I said, this will be the first year I'm bringing one, but last year I was really wishing I had one. It's not essential, but I think it'll be really nice to have.
I too didn't buy the actual brand - I got a Kelty that was on sale at Campmor and it's very very small but got the job done. My husband has a bigger Camelbak and when I held it for him when he went to a porta potty or whatever I thought MAN this thing is HEAVY! Do know a smaller bag means a smaller bladder... but mine held enough to keep me from passing out in the middle of Centeroo ;D However my husband's was big enough to stash stuff under the bladder that the gate security never found

yeah...i mainly want it because it looks like it could hold a lot, and that's a plus for me. i hate going unprepared, or having to leave something behind because i don't want to carry it around.
I have an off brand bladder that I purchased from Wal Mart last year for 10 dollars or so... and then a back pack for 15. Best money I spent on Bonnaroo last year other than the ticket and some AWESOME corn... but that's another story for another day.
I never brought in filled bladders, though, because I always thought they made you dump it out... But will try this year.
I cannot stress enough the convenience of a camelback... you won't regret buying one, that's for sure.

I have a 100 oz camelbak, think its the largest size bladder they have , and it lasted me half the day. This was of course with 2 other people drinking from it most of the time. What worked best for me is going to the water station and dumping it out right before i knew i was going to be trapped into a hot and tightly packed crowd. The water that comes from the water stations is really cold and having that on your back is a nice added relief. I noticed alot of people had the misting attachment on theirs that some third party manufacturer makes, 02 cool i think.
Got a High Sierra at Costco for $20 with a 2 liter bladder. Lots of pockets and expandable (sort of) it doesn't get too big, but enough to fit all I need.
I got it about three weeks ago, so they are probably still out there.
i think mine's like a medium sized one, and i filled it up about seven or eight times a day at roo. but i drink weirdly large amounts of water and have a phobia a dehydrating....i wouldn't have survived if i didn't have it, def a must have.
