Confesion time: the exact same thing happened to us. We got there, started to unload stuff and were told in no unexplecit terms that the space was "Reserved". After getting over the horrible school bus flashbacks of having to get the bus driver to get me a seat, and being cast out by people i was mad chuffed to see (And looking like a toltal tool infront of my friend), I moved a few feet over in what was a fire lane. A few people came over and told us they would make us take down our tents, and that we couldnt pitch there, but we did anyways. and in about an hour, the entire lane was full to the brim. That being said, i plan on actualy camping in camp inforoo this year, and will hopefully not be turned away this year.
I hear you guys and can totally see where your coming from. I got the strange looks and cold shoulder at Camp Inforoo back in 06. We ended up not even stopping back by for the rest of the weekend because we were so turned off by our reception.
I vowed last year not to allow that to happen as long as I was there and I made sure everyone who came up was greeted with a smile and friendliness. It is possible that you came when some of us who were determined to make everyone feel welcome was not around, and if that was the case, I apologize immensly!
Wooz and I are going to try to get up there as early as possible this year and set us a Camp Inforoo towards the back of tent only. Hopefully, we wont fill up as soon as we did last year and more people can get in. Last year we were simply to close to Centeroo and all the area around us filled quickly. We have to avoid that this year.
And I promise, anyone who arrives while I am there will be treated friendly and greeted with a smile. ALL are welcome in Camp Inforoo!!!!

funny - cuz in 06 that was the reaction I got but last year it was not like that at all (at least not at the times I was there) and I am sure this year will be like last year
Yeah we had ALOT of folks complain after 06 about the greeting they recieved. I was determined to not let that happen last year, but alas,we still had a few folks who felt left out. I guess i will have to try that much harder this year, huh?

At least now I know it just wasn't us. I know that no harm was intented, and really it all worked out. We'll probably camp near inforoo, and stop and meet some of you great people. But a welcome committee is not such a bad idea, considering people are coming from all over the country to pitch tent with virtual strangers.
how long does it take for camp inforoo to be filled up?
Well, "Camp Inforoo" is in Tent Only...but to answer the question that area last year filled up rather quick..I say everything was packed by noon if I had to guess..maybe sooner.

Which is the very reason we need to move to the far back of Tent Only. I know its a little farther from Centeroo, but the closer you are, the quicker the space around you fills up.
Even with moving it all the way to the back of TO, it may still fill rather quickly, but it got so full last year, so quick that very few people actually got to "camp" at Camp Inforoo....

That was the exact reception I got from you, and wooz, and Ziggy, and Leo when I showed up last year. I look at the pictures of Camp Inforoo, and when I see myself I look so chill and happy to be there, and I really was. I am most likely going with one other person, via Greyhound, so we will most likely be joining you guys at Camp Inforoo!
