Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I don't think we'll be camping with Inforoo, but we're hoping to be in tent-only, so I'll probably stop by and say hello! We'll definitely be at brunch.
I saw in some pics from last year that people printed off Inforoo signs and put them in/on/around their tent so other Inforoosters could recoginize each other. I tried searching to see if there was a thread about this but couldn't find one. Is anyone else planning on doing this? If so, where do you get the image from that you print off?
hey guys...long time reader, firs time post...My 4th Bonnaroo. This is my first one since 05. I am wondering what the best type of canopy is, I am currently looking at a few, and need some advice. Wal-Mart has a nice easy pop up one for $80, and DICKS sporting goods as one for $60. They seem similar, but I want one that will be durable, and keep the shade out. Also, I want to buy a New York Rangers flag to hang up. What is the best way to put a flag up at Roo???? If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it, thanks!!

Re: arrival time, I'm still nailing down travel plans (anyone from the Baltimore/DC area have a ride?), but I hope to be there by noon on Thursday.
And again while my travel plans will affect what I can bring, I do have some stuff I could potentially bring. I've got one extra camping chair, a nice 12'x12' canopy tarp with two poles, a decent sized cooler (maybe 10 gallons?), and a Coleman 2-burner propane stove.
haha I definitely want to stop by, I can't camp there unfortunately though because I have 6 other non inforooers camping with me and we all wanna park together. Maybe next year though. How big tent only, will I be able to find you guys easily?

I sent out a PM to get everyones numbers for the phone list, but if you aren't on Jerzee's list and are going to be at camp inforoo or if you just want to be on the list just PM me your number or post it in here if you prefer. Thanks for the help guys.
Are there going to be any inforooers in GA RV? If so that's where we'll be.
We will be in the GA RV section, We are going to try to hook up with as many inforoosters at the Wally World, so that we may potentially get set up together...not sure how GA RV works, but if we can all get in together we can have a quasi-inforoo GA RV section. I will do all I can to stop by the Inforoo campsite this year. Last year I could not find it, i was a lost first year roo puppy!
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
The group going with me is up to 7 folks? Last year we picked the far cornor to set up shop. (Well not in the cornor but about 40 feet in from there) and it was nice. Plenty of room and no traffic. I suggest the Inforoo folks think about setting up there. I will come visit the camp more often this year. I planned on camping with you last year but we had camp set up by 9 or 10 and I didn't see the flag till afterwards.
I will be marking my campsite with this from now on.

2nd year for us as well and 1st year in RV so even that will be a new experience. I would love to meet up with fellow inforooers at wallyworld we should be arriving around 10pm or so.

I believe this is the train of thought we left with last year, and i'm guessing camp inforoo is going to be at least somewhere along the fence and if it were up to me in the corner if we could grab it.

Same here, did the Camping and were just beat up by day four, we would like the spoiling of the camper. We should be leaving Gainesville around 1 to 2 pm and arrive at Wally at about 9 our time so I guess 8 Tenn time. We should exchange info so that we can meet up. I would like to have a huge caravan of RV Inforoosters if anyone else is up to it. Like minded people RVing sounds much better than random RVers to me!!

I don't think you have to worry about anybody trying to steal a Bengals flag. lol.

lol.....it's cool man. I'm a miami dolphins fan.
I'm thinkin my group is gonna take the lazy route and not make a flag for our campsite....instead we plan on finding our campsite by locating it in relation to other people around us who have flags at their campsite....is that a wise idea?
Didn't camping only shrink considerably between '06 and last year?
Camp size seems to be completely random. My smallest was in '03 when everones 10x10 canopies were actually touching and the neighbors canopy legs were in your sitting area. '04 and '05 was about normal at about 15x15.
But for me '07 was the biggest with me getting a huge campsite (about 30 x 100 or larger) which we turned into a Tent Only area right behind That Tent. Wish we could have put Camp Inforoo there.

We're definitely going to be in Tent Only this year. We'll have our phones and AIM (hopefully we can pull WiFi pretty easily) to keep in touch.
As for what time we're arriving, it's going to depend on how early we can pick up our press passes at the radio station. After that, we'll be on our way!

I got ragged on by a Miami fan. I'm not sure how to take this. Back on topic for me though.
This will be the first year I've used a flag to mark the site. The first year I was so toast I sat down at the wrong site and the owners we too nice about. Gave me another beer and we BS till the sun came up. My site was one row over. Most time I remember landmarks to know where my tent is. A tree, a fence line, a line of porta-potties. Tents are also useful if they don't look like all the rest.
In tent only though it's easier to find your place, well for me anyway.

This is what I've done every year and haven't really had a problem. Just make sure you know where you are in relation to the "roads" nearby. Keep in mind too that the landscape changes dramatically from Thursday afternoon to Thursday night as the place fills up. It'll look completely different.
