So im gonna be RV'n it. I was wondering...i hear all this talk about BFE and whatnot. Is there RV parking in BFE or are they all a little closer. I saw the site map from 07 and i think 05 with some differences (from what i can tell). also if a want to set up a shade area outside the RV, is the area for that the same size as the tent area? thanks

When we did Day Parking last year, it was right next to the RV parking (although I think there is more than 1 of each). We had about a 15 minute walk to Centeroo from day parking and walked through all the RVs, so it isn't that bad.
The year before we camped and ended up in BFE - it was about a 40 minute walk to Centeroo and it totally sucked in that heat.

Yes.. the rv sites were pretty close last year.. we got there early in 07 after camping in goldmember in 06.. only to find out that "1" balloon was in bfe.. we're bringing an rv this year needless to say..
I noticed from the 2007 map that there is one rv spot over in BFE. Is it random how they fill up the RV spots? I read on here that it is kind of random for the tent spots, so getting there early doesnt really help. Also, do they give out more RV passes than spots? That would totally suck to get there with the RV and all the spots be taken!

your not going to have a problem getting a spot with an RV. they wont run out of room as far as the BFE RV area, im not sure how they fill it up but we didnt have a problem last year and i cant imagine you will either

I'm sure they know how many people have bought RV passes and plan campsites accordingly. A lot of people complained about VIP being bigger last year and I think it was for the same reason. If people buy more of these tickets and passes they are going to adjust as necessary.

thanks. i couldnt see them running out of room?? what would they do with all the extra people? send them home. were planning on getting there around mid day so im sure it wont be an issue.
Thanks guys! I figured that wouldn't happen, but you never know, so I thought I would ask. Is there going to be enough room for a truck and a 30 foot RV on the campsite? I am doubting it.

If you're not VIP then there are no lines on the ground. You just use whatever room you have around you. If you go in together and stay together through the parking process you will have room.
You can definitely fit a truck and a 30' RV, and the last two years the spots have been painted and we didn't stay in VIP. You may have a little less space for tents/tarps/whatever, but it will fit.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
