I have searched around, and haven't quite come up with an answer to this.
I am flying into Nashville with 4 or 5 other people.
As far as camp space, will we want to rent 1 car or 2 to assure that we have a big enough area for the 5 or 6 of us to spread out a little? If we just rent one, a couple people will take the shuttle in - if we get 2 we'll all ride in cars down.
Which leads to the next question. If we rent 2 cars, is it hard to get two camp sites together? I've been to the gorge in WA, where it's just first come first served - but it sounds like they assign you spots here. Is it hard to get assigned 2 spots next to each other?
One more random question, so I don't have to start a new thread...
How have people handled flying with tents/canopies/coolers? I looked around for airline rules a bit, but some personal experience would be REALLY appreciated.
Thanks for any info y'all have. Great website! --Jeremy

The people in front of us were in two seperate cars and they wanted to be together, so they just told one of the people directed traffic, and he directed them into the same campground, rather than in two different routes. Just let them know, and they'll get you together. :]

i read on another thread that people that fly just check their coolers and wrap duct tape around a few times to make sure it stays closed, some even had the beer and such in it. My tent came in a compact little holder so will be easy to check. i really dont know about canopies. Im thinking of flying to rothbury so i was wondering the same things.
about the camping, you'll definitely want to bring 2 cars an d just tell the people youre together and theyll direct you the same way, wont be a problem.

I think if you have more people than will fit in one car, you also have more people than will comfortably fit in one campsite. It sort of comes down to whether comfort or money is the top priority. If it's not a problem financially to rent two cars, then I would do that - nobody will have to shuttle, it'll be easier to bring all your stuff, and of course you'll have plenty of room.
