facing Walmart - yes we will be on the left - maroon Hyundai Santa Fe with - (duh) Mississippi plates - oh yeah - in Mississippi we only have a tag on the back
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
last year some of the people in my group wanted to buy beer and it was like 4:30am when we got there...even though i tried to tell them we wouldn't be able to buy it til like 5ish they didn't listen and then we had to wait around at the front of the store til the employees said we could spend our money...
haha... B and I were probably standing right behind you. We were buying some last minute brew and other assorted supplies and had to wait till it was legal to purchase the booze. I think we finally checked out in the garden dept...
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo
The rumors are flowing all around about this. I have heard that they let some people in on Wed Night, but your in BFE then I hear that this year they are not going to do that and you all are gonna have to wait! Whats the deal here anyone have any links with info?

For the last two years - I have heard that they are not going to do that - but they have ended up doing it - I think they go ahead and do it to cut down on some of the traffic problems that they would have
yeah, for real. i don't like endorsing a company that treats people how walmart treats employees//the communities they build in, but im a poor college student and i really can't find anywhere else that beats the walmart prices.
That's pretty much my problem. I'm a broke college student, and with the recession going on, it's going to be hard to find work this summer, so I've got to budget my expenses. I need a tent and a sleeping bag before June, and there's not many REI's or EMS's near me, and their camping gear is way more expensive. I hate Wal-Mart's way of running business, but they've driven out so many of their competitors with their underhand, shady business tactics that it can be hard to find a reasonable alternative. I rarely go camping, so I find it hard to justify spending $300+ on a tent / $100+ on a sleeping bag at a more honorable business, when I can find a decent tent and sleeping bag on the Wal-Mart website for less than $100 combined.
Gotta love the high cost of low, low prices.

I have been checking craigslist and ebay.com. You can find great deals and give money to a private individual or small business. I bought a four person tent 10 years ago on Ebay for $60 and I still use it.

this person is probably full of it, but i was reading the smaller message board on the bonnaroo website and he said that the manchester police weren't letting people park in the walmart......here is his post
walmart not allowing rooers this year for all of you who are planning on staying at wal mart they will not be allowing it this year and it will be police enforced manchester is working on a place i myself will be getting a near by hotel
note the incorrect grammer, but worth thinking about??????

^^^I can't see them doing that for one main reason:
Bonnaroo pumps money into the Wal-mart - if they don't let us in the parking lot - then we cannot spend money in Wal-Mart. It is a money thing - there may be more cops patrolling - I know there were more there last year then the year before - but I can't see them shutting down the parking lot

We must have just been extremely lucky last year. We left the Walmart parking lot just before 6AM, we had our camp set up by around 8AM, and we were nowhere near BFE... I'm just glad we brought ear plugs.
Well I'm trying my best to gather all the folks I know in the MO area to head out wednesday for the walmart parking lot. I'll be the chewbacca sized man in stature with the eith A the large fro. or B starting out dreads. I still havent decided if I want to dread my hair just yet. My for is just to epic

I remember the feeling of seeing the walmart so packed when my friends and I went to it. I needed an extra towel and we were just getting last minute supplies. It was crazy.........I had on a tie dyed shirt and it was obvious what everyone else was doing there. We started hearing the comments, "bonnaroo?" and "going to bonnaroo too?" and all that. It was great.
Fun times. I'll def be going back this year but it's my first time driving down without my navigator (friend who knows directions real well). I just can't seem to remember......bout how far away is the Walmart to the entrance? Literally a few minutes? Can't recall.
Anyway can't wait to see you guys there......this is my first time at Roo as an Inforooster.....but 4th year i'm attending.
