So I normally would drive to Roo but having this new $10 airline in Columbus, on was just too much to resist for me and my gf not to have to drive 7-8 hours! We got flights into Chattanooga that land @ 6pm on Thurs. night. We are renting a car and driving an hour north to Roo.
First question: how bad will the traffic be arriving from the south around 8-9pm?
Second: What am i forgetting to bring? This is where i really need your help....we are packing a cooler, tent, folding chairs, tarp, 10x10 canopy, and obviously clothes and toiletries. We will be stopping at the Walmart just north of Chattanooga to buy beer, water, and ice. So what am i forgetting?? Also we would like to buy some Jack Daniel's without having to fly with it...can you buy this at Walmart's in Tenn?
Third: I didnt mention food because i have read that its pretty cheap and much easier to just buy it at Roo....Is this a good idea?
No hard liquor sold except in designated "Liquor Stores." There are a lot of dry counties in TN also so get the Jack Daniels in Chattanooga to be safe.
Yup, gotta love Skybus...have saved loads of money on flights and even went on vaca's i never thought i would have in the last year. Thanks for all the advice so far. I wasnt expecting to have to wait that long that late at night...not cool at all! I thought the long waits were usually in the middle of the day and it clears up late at night. Was expecting to only wait 30-60 min that late but i must be mistaken!

If you are going to stop by a walmart, I would suggest picking up one of the $30 queen sized blow-up air mattresses, well worth it and it allows you to pull the mattress out of your tent and under your shade tent at 8am when your tent reaches a terrible 140 degrees. Also, maybe you want to look into some dry ice, put it at the bottom of your cooler with a layer plastic over it and then ice and it will keep your ice for the whole time you are on the farm. Enjoy!!! Can't wait for June.
