Buy some 3m scotchguard to spray on your tent, but set it it up and spray it before the festival. It takes a little while to dry. A canopy or ezup above your tent with tarped sides is also a good idea. Along with sleeping on an air mattress, and not letting anything touch the sides of your tent if its raining.
Look at your site, if there is a depression in the middle make sure you don't set your tent up in that.. you'll find the ground is pretty flat though.
Not for roo, but when camping elsewhere.. I like to toss a bunch of dead leaves under my tent.. like a whole freakin lot. Throw a tarp over that, then set your tent up. It'll get you a few inches off of the ground, plus its comfy to sleep on.

so what you're saying wooz, is that we should rake the leaves up from our yards and bring them in trash bags to throw under our tents??
also, how are you supposed to avoid setting up the tent in the depression with the bonnaroo sites? if you have a good-sized tent, there's probably only one place to set it up
Geez - I hate when people do that - they post something - I go look it up - come back to post that stuff is made still and they have deleted their post - why not just edit it and say "oops - I made a mistake"
I put a coat of weather proof on the tent today. I've never used it before. Do I need more or does one coat do it? Being my third roo, I feel like it is bound to rain this year for some reason. Knock on wood.

one coat is good but don't forget the seam sealer for your seams
