Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
this will be my first camping fesival. i've been to music fests (my favorite being in amsterdam in 2005 for obvious reasons), but never camped before.
i found a bonnaroo map online, and, like most people, want to be as close to centeroo as possible.
should i camp by the car, or do camping only? how do you keep your valuables safe if camping only? do people steal from your campsite? (i'm talking things like coolers and lawn chairs and a flag so i can locate my camp)
i'm in florida, so at what time should i be at the camp to get a good spot?
I highly reccomend Tent Only... Check out the Camp Inforoo thread!
Also, I've never been a victim of theft but.. I don't keep anything valuable in my tent. I also put a note inside my cooler taped to the top that says "Please only take one, thanks"

I wouldn't bring anything too valuable to bonnaroo. I too suggest tent only, unless you get a sweet parking spot.
i DO NOT recommend tent only unless you're with a bigger group, or don't have much stuff
maybe i'm just lazy, but i know how tired i am at the end of the weekend, and there is NO WAY i'm going through all the trouble of packing stuff back up just to have to haul it to my car
i'll be hanging around camp inforoo a lot, though!! ;D
^^^ if ur staying till monday, u might be able to maeuver ur car to tent only like us last year, it was great cause like u said, u dont have to haul it back to ur car....
BUT, i have to say either way ur gonna have to do some walking/ either u dont goto tent only and walk whatever distance ur at to centeroo the entire weekend, or u do tent only and have to haul ur stuff at most twice....

i wouldn't risk it
and i would much rather walk with a small camelbak to centeroo than have to haul my crap back to my car after a weekend at bonnaroo

You can pull your car in monday morning. Also, the one time hauling is worth having your campsite right there so you can go back a few times throughout the day.

i guess i just don't see this as a necessity. i never went back to camp during the day.
Just a quick question here.Inside centeroo, Is there anywhere one could just crash on the ground for an hour or two without getting trampled on if need be? Or does it stay to crowded?

there's tons of grassy areas where you can lay down a blanket and rest. it may not be in the shade, though
thanks for the replies...i'm still undecided. lol. is camp inforoo going to be a group of people from the board camping in the same vicinity? if so, i'm down.

yes...i believe there's a group list going so that they can anticipate who all will want to be a part of it
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

some real good spots that i found to sleep and are shady as well are under the bleachers. cinema tent(i actually slept more here than my tent last year). they have these things set up with a map on one side and sched on the other but there is room under it to sleep in the shade random trees, but get there early on the side of a large tent food, or drink vendor opposite where the sun is

I definatly enjoyed camping next to the car for some reasons: Radio-A/C if needed but not used-extra space to tie tarps to and we made a killer shower w/ a water bag and tarp-you can lock up anything that might be valuable like beer, goodies, clothes.
