How long is the wait to get in on Thursday AM?
The earliest I've arrived in the past has been Friday afternoon and the wait has been totally reasonable. The thing is: if Battles is playing on Thursday then, well, I need to be there Thursday this year.

I was in line when the gates opened at 7...for 5 hours. I'm hoping we get in faster this year. I think I'm gonna try to get there about 5 to get in line.
last year i got there at about 8am on Thursday and was in line until 12pm. we ended up with a great spot. probably about 10 mins from centeroo. i think it's up to the bonnaroo gods whether or not you get a good spot

Last year was the first year I waited in line since 2003. I waited about 2 hours last year. 2003 was about 12 hours. It was good to see they'd made some improvements.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
in 06 we slept/laid down at walmart wed. night and got in line on thurs. and were the first car in our line. I think it was just luck, but we could hear and see the main stage from our campsite.
I listened/watched part of the Radiohead show from our site.

i honestly have no idea how we did this last year, but this is how it went...
we were coming up the highway on the opposite side of the farm, and could see the cars lined up for MILES, so we were thinking "ok, long wait". we finally get to an exit we can take(the others had been closed off), and we make the left turn to go back across the highway. instead of getting behind all the other cars, though, we took this road that was like this back country road. i wasn't driving, so i can't remember exactly, but there must have been some kind of sign saying we could get to Roo that way. when we reached the end of the road, it led right up to the back of the farm, we went right in, took about 8 minutes for them to look over our vehicle, and then we were off to our campsite.
i'm sure we won't be as lucky this year, but does anyone know what road we might have taken?
My two-car caravan were in line for the better part of five hours I believe. Hard to remember because the moment we finally parked the cars and started setting up our make-shift camp we knew the wait had been worth it.

last year we were in line @ about 5:30pm on thursday and were at our camp by 8 and in centeroo by 9. my ideal time to get in line this year would be about 3. if i can miss the heat on thursday it will only help my chances of surviving the weekend
Well in '06 we were GA and were running a bit late. We got there Thursday around 5-6 PM. We didn't want to miss Thursday night stuff, so we took Bushy Branch Road or whatever it's called and got right in. Downside? You've got a hefty walk to Centeroo.
In '07 we were VIP and there was no wait at all. We arrived around 5-6 PM on Thursday again.
This year we will probably be leaving a bit earlier, as Thursday is shaping up to be pretty good and I want to be able to get in line to catch some comedy.

we got there earlier in 06, but we took that back way as well, and we weren't in BFE. i really don't think there's a system the way people say there is. i think its just the luck of the draw as to where they feel like placing you.

We camped/chilled at wal-mart on wend. nite and I hear they let some people in. We left wal-mart at around 7am spent maybe 30mins in traffic on bushy branch and probably 30mis actually movig once the gates opened. anywaYs we got one of the worst spots but it could have been worse. It was worth it to have time after the mad dash to set up. I feel a good spot coming this year and may wait till 10am to leave wally world
