So, was just sitting around dreaming lazily about campsite upgrades and had a little dream about an ultra-plush campsite experience with a hot shower, solar power, a sweet flag, and all that...
Was trying to think of all the things I would power with a solar system for a campsite... At the top of my list currently are: A Blender (for smoothies & margaritas of course!) Fans A Cooler (minifridge)
Wife was all over the idea of margaritas!
So I have wandered over here slowly with cat in lap to see what kinds of crazy stuff you all might have dreamed of adding to your campsite if you ever went ultra-plush!
But I've heard voices not in the head Out in the air they called ahead Through ripped out speakers Through thick and thin They found a shelter Under my skin -Evgeny Aleksandrovitch Nikolaev

Did the mechanical bull, industrial fridge, side of beef, barbeque, and motorcycle arrive yet chef?
The mechanical bull, barbeque, industrial fridge, and the live goat have arrived. It looks like they tired to deliver the kiddie pool and the KY this afternoon, but I wasn't home, so they will try again tommorow. No word on the side of beef or the motorcycle.

haha damn! You guys are serious about the plush campsite....and here I was thinking that a fan and a futon mattress in my tent was plush lol.......
andI don't know about the mechanical bull but I think the batman spotlight would be pretty badass......I would love the pool....even a little kiddie pool if it just filled with water magically....although after a couple dozen dirty hippies it would start to look like the fountain on sunday...it would probably be toxic...

Hairless cabana boys to fan me Portable ice maker Pressurized shower Solar-powered fun lights (Christmas, garden) Blender Mist tent CLEAN wading/swimming pool Trampoline
We already bring carpets, hammocks and a tiki bar, so those are out. Anyone think camp can get too comfortable and make you not want to leave? A friend of mine spent most of his time at our site last year. I just didn't get it. He said it was the heat, but I think it was the zero-gravity chairs.
Camping world has a portable ice maker that I have been looking at for the RV - doesn't make a lot of ice and the reviews say that it doesn't keep ice well, but it would do as well as the ice that you get at Roo. It sure did melt fast.
If you all want to be really plush look at the good 5 day coolers at Coleman - after having what I thought was a good 5 day cooler, I wish that I had spent the money to have the good Coleman one.
Group next to us had a blender and kept it going the entire time - I have seen the either battery powered ones or something that will let you run them out in the middle of no where.
Have they come up with any propane powered mini-fridges???
I want the bat signal light at the RV so I can find my way home at night!!!! The wading pool is also a thought - it would be good to have with the outdoor shower that is solar heated. I can see washing, light rinsing and then catching the almost clean rise water to use for washing feet or to wet the ground under the generator or pre-rinse - this is an idea that I can work with - thanks, the ground around an outdoor shower gets so muddy and this would establish space. We could not use the built in shower in the bay area of the RV thanks to neighbors putting their tents where we could not get to the items on the back side of the RV without them having to move. This would have solved our problem with something to hold it down to keep it from blowing away. <g> Wind can be back at Roo.
I think a solar battery charger for rechargeable batteries.
You all come up with some really workable things. Oh, the solar powered Coleman hang showers did produce water that made the shower feel a little more like a shower - they are cheap and I would say two would really work. I am not sure how good everyone was about filling it up in the morning so the sun did it's thing all day.
After all the smoothie and margarita talk, I guess I should go move a blender to the RV. I thought that I had everything I needed, but that sounds like a good addition ......so now I need 2 wading pools, solar lights and a blender.
Do they have the Christmas string lights that are solar powered????
