Quick question. I've read boards about people having their stuff inspected, etc. I have some medications that I have to bring with me (cancer survivor). At home I just have them in a days of the week pill box (you know, the lame one your grandparents use).
Will I be able to use that or should I have my medications in their original bottles to avoid the hassle?

just make sure you have your prescriptions with you and your ID - i mean its rare that they will look that close - but at a Allgood last summer the security dude made me show ID for my prescripts....so you never know.
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo
Thanks to all of you. I didn't realize that I could only give karma to one, it should go to all. I hadn't even considered keeping them out of the heat.
Like everyone said, keep meds out of the extreme heat. You can probably just pack the "pill case" and copy all the labels from the bottles. This way you don't have to worry about getting the whole 30/90 supply wet and ruined if the ziploc leaks. I can't see them taking your meds if you have Rx labels for each one. They aren't that hard-@ss.
Or bring a small, 6-pack cooler with freezer packs or dry ice just for Rx.

I did have to show my prescription bottle and ID last year for my "heady" allergy meds. You're best off to follow everyone's advice and keep them in their bottles.
Ah, so glad I found this thread. I have a prescription for a medication that is often abused by people who don't need it, and I was wondering if security would give me crap about it. Some of us need certain druqkz at Bonnaroo! I'll be sure to keep them in the little orange bottles and not in my daily pill box (and those boxes are not lame / just for old farts!)

And because it is something people might want, keep a tight hold on it!

I don't know about Tennessee but most states have laws that state that any prescription drug must be in the original prescription bottle they came in at all times (other than when you swallow them). Otherwise you can be charged with possession of a controlled substance.
If your worried about the heat melting them or such. Place them in a tupperware container (in their original prescription bottle) and put them in the cooler on top of everything else.
Not only is it illegal in most states (to have prescription drugs outside the bottle) but it would be a major hassle for the cops to find a bunch of loose pills on you and make you wait around while they identify them.
I have some scripts (nothing major) that I'll be bringing as well. Quick question: Where did you keep the meds that they 1. saw them and 2. asked to see your ID? On your person? In your purse/bag? I'm not paranoid, just curious how thoroughly these people search through your personal things.

Mine were in my overnight bag and the search just depends - some people will make you pull everything out and others will just ask you to get out so they can look trhoughw ith a flashlight
What about non prescription meds. Knowing me, being out in the sun all day will give me a headache, so I plan on bringing a box of Goody powders (as gross as they are, its the only thing that works for me).

I don't think you have to worry about them confiscating those ;D
The state police searched my car on the way into the campgrounds and came across some of my prescription chill pills (legally prescribed & in their bottles), they didn't know what they were - but I immediately owned up, told them what they were for and everything and they didn't even ask for ID. They didn't give me any problems at all. But then again - there was no reason to...

My dr. has me testing out some prozac dosages. He gave me some sample packs so that we can work out a correct dosage. I don't have an acutal prescription bottle or anything, they are just in the factory packages. I don't think he wrote out an actual prescription for them for me either, or at least I don't recall having an actual piece of paper in my possession. Do you think I will get hassled for these? I'm at the point where I have been on them a couple of months now and am afraid that if they get taken in a search or something I will have withdrawls or freak out or something. I'm on them for anxiety by the way. Should I see if there is something my dr. can give me to act as a prescription or am I just worrying too much (the reason why I am on prozac in the first place)? Does anyone know about traveling with sample packs of medication?
OK everyone...What about Vitamins? I have pulled enough for me and the GF for 4 days and put them in a baggie. It's pretty obvious (to me) that they are vitamins. But would I be better off putting them back in their respective bottles?
