This is actually on cabelas.com, also. I dont know if it will work though in the heat of tennessee. I asked a representative from cabelas if this would work, and he said that becuase of the fact that it uses evaporative cooling, it probably wont do much.

I wonder how many batteries that thing chews up in a day. My opinion - accept that you will be hot. Spend time in the heat before you go. Use "folk" cooling methods - tarps over the tent, shirts soaked in ice water, etc.
I am not sure how well this would work when the humidity is high, just a thought though I bet if you filled it with chilled water, and frozen water bottles (if possible I don't know how the reservoir is configured) that you would get some cool time out of it especially in the morning while all the dew is evaporating anyway. Just a Random thought. plink plink

I"m so sorry to tell you..... but these mini air conditioners just don't work.... we've tried. You either need an RV for true AC or you need to park yourself under a shade canopy. If you can afford VIP, you can take a nap in the food tent with minimal AC and shade, or hang out for a long time in the air conditioned potty truck. It's not stinky and it rightiously coolllll. Be sure to bring one of those battery powered misting fans. you'll make lots of friends with it! Be cool.
