Well here is what I did in class today, I drew up how I want to may out my campsite.
What do you guys think about it? There are about 5 of us going. I plan for me and my girlfriend to sleep in the back of the pick up truck on a futon mattress. I also plan to have a silver trap above the easy up with room for air to blow in between the two. If it gets to hot, I will be able to roll up the sides of the tarp covering the pick up bed, and get a lot of air that way. The middle area will be my sitting/chillin/who knows what area.
Let me know what you all think. This is my first Roo, and I need as much advice as you can give me!
I think it looks pretty cool. The only thing I would suggest is that you try and put the whole thing up one time before you actually go. I had this great set up planned out in my head and down on paper. Then I managed to put it up once and it definitely needed a little more work. I'm not saying yours won't work beautifully the first time, I'm just saying that Roo is not the place you want to figure out if it does or doesn't, and need to make any alterations.
Anyway, your drawing is just like the one I drew..also bored in class. The only difference for me is I'll have about 5-10 other tents surrounding my Easy-ups, because I have over 20 people going with me ;D
Also, I have a blue tarp that I painted a whole side white for my reflective tarp. It's much larger and cheaper than what I could find. It gives me more room to have a larger "chill area." I found that the most important thing last year, because I hang out way more than I sleep at 'Roo.

You have crayons in your class? How sweet.
We have spent many hours trying to perfect our tent setup (5 Roos so far). It's great that you are starting early with this.
The main problem I see is the "reflective tarp" is going to shoot water exactly where you don't want it, if it rains. You can make a "gutter system" with the easy up walls, if you have them. We did.
Also, how are you going to hold that reflective tarp up in the middle?
The most important things to keep in mind are STAY DRY, STAY COOL and MAKE IT STURDY (wind). Have a back up plan too.
Sorry, Was VERY Bored and felt the need to try and one up the crayon, Amazing as it is this is basically what we did last year in tent only <edit= sorry my ego went really off the deep end> This Year I want to just get long narrow tarps and run them down the sides and just have the big on across the backside.
