First, I'd like to say that this site has been so so helpful in preparing us for our first Bonnaroo! Most of my questions have already been answered, but I have just a few.
Me and my friend are flying down (from Detroit) on Tuesday, and staying with my family (they live like 10 minutes from Manchester... convenient!) until Thursday. So, we don't want to have to pack a lot of stuff to take on the plane.
We're gonna buy most of the stuff we'll need once we get there... Should we opt to go somewhere other than the Walmart in Manchester? I'm just worried that maybe we won't be able to get what we want/need if everyone else is going there.
Also, I think my family has a tent for us to use. But we're probably gonna need a shade tent/canopy thing. Can someone reccommend one? I'd rather not spend a whole lot of money on it, but I don't want to get a really crappy one either. Should I try to find one once we get down there, or should I find one up here and take it on the plane?
One more thing. It's just me and my friend going... we are going to have to have to get dropped off and walk in, because we won't have a car. This is ok, right? How close are we going to be able to get before we have to be dropped off? I'm thinking maybe we should get there kind of early... so maybe my family member that gets stuck dropping us off won't get stuck in hours of traffic. Any suggestions? Also, is it going to be a long trek from wherever we get dropped to tent only? I'm a little concerned about being able to lug all of our stuff, although hopefully we will be able to bring a wagon or something.
I think that's all the questions I have for now lol We are so so so excited and can't wait until June! I expect to have probably the most fun ever. Plus, I will have just graduated college, so I will be ready to party!

Thanks guys for being so helpful!
Tent only is the only way to go. It'll be a long hike, so get a wagon, cause if you're walking it'll be a haul. You can always trade the use of your wagon for good karma and party favors. Just take out what you bring in and recycle.
As for getting dropped off, traffic going away shouldn't be bad.
For supplies, I would not shop at the Manchester Wall Mart, if possible. Can you buy your shade tent, cooler, etc online and have it shipped to your relatives? That would be cheaper and easier.
You can find all the advice here if you look. But never underestimate the value of shade and one good cooler.

it they live 10 minutes away, they should know ALL the back routes

yes, don't rely on them for essentials.
probably gonna need a shade tent/canopy thing. Can someone recommend one?
This is a good one. I got it for $69 at the store. They have a store in Murfreesboro, that should be close to where you are staying.

right, but you are gonna have a long walk, no way around it. And that shade tent is heavy. Maybe your relatives will have one of these
