Who are the bands that are funk or soul? I'm not too familiar with the lesser known bands..I know Galactic will be there but what about anybody else? I loves my funk.
Robert Randolph can get an little funky at times. Did anyone see him preform with Earth,Wind,& Fire,P-Funk, and Outkast at the Grammies? That was the highlight for me.
Galactic and Soulive are the two bands on the list that I would describe as funk/soul acts. Almost every band on the list has some element of funk in their sound though! There does seem to be a bit of a deficit in this area compared to James Brown and the Meters last year. I think adding the right hip-hop act could inject some much-needed funk into the line-up (Blackalicious/Gift of Gab or Lyrics Born please!!!).
