Really stoked to see Ani 'cuz I never have. Anyone who hasn't seen her should definitely check out Gillian Welch. I've seen her twice and she is amazing. I hope she's on a small stage, though, because I don't think her sound would translate well to a big one.
i promised the 16 year old babysitter of my 20 month old daughter i would get in the front row and take a picture of ani. so have mercy and help me get there ladies. peace
ANI!!!!!!!!!!! ;D I can't wait, Ive seen her once before and she is playing near me may 10th, so I will get to see her before roo again I cannot wait!!!!!

Somebody on the Roo listserv mentioned the possibility of Mindy Smith being added! I haven't seen a show of hers before, but her voice is really sweet!

I'll probably skip Ani unless one of the girls makes me go with her. Too many people crowding her stage I suspect. Lately I have been listening to Nellie McKay:
She's like a younger, less refined, and more angst-ridden version of Tori Amos. I like that. Plus for being only 19 years old she has some incredible talent and I can't wait to check her out at the 'Roo.
