My buddy went last year, and said there is music all day on Thurs also. How do I find out who is playing? Can you start camping on Thurs? Also, can you get into the campground without a ticket? Im going without a ticket, and will find one there. May not have the ticket when I set up camp.

Roo 1 didn't have anyone playing on Thurs I don't think(got their late). Last year was an unannounced spur of the moment thing I heard. So it might happen it might not. Hopefully it will.
Gates for Bonnaroo open early on Thursday morning. You can not get into the campground witout a ticket unless you somehow sneek in.
You should be able to find a ticket down there, depending when you hit traffic. Watch for counterfeits! Actually you'll almost definetly find someone who is selling.
Last year on Thursday night, there were a couple of bands playing latenight shows. I don't remember who else played, but I know THE MACHINE (Pink Floyd tribute) did because we watched 'em. ;D
I do think they need someone playing Thursday latenight this year too!
was it just my mind altered imagination, or was centeroo INSANE thur last year?!? i remember trying to get to the gate and i got pinned up against a fence by the huge mob of people trying to get to centeroo. im a lil girl so the huge crowd acting like cattle was pretty crappy for me. we ended up going back to camp early to chill cause it was soo busy there. missed out on the bands. i pretty sure they didnt have anyone play thur the first year. hopefully they will have some latenight acts again this year.

yeah there was a band playing but not sure what kind of music..i was shroomed out of my mind and couldn't figure out how to get out, let alone watch a band
The Machine was playing as well as Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra. Flwrchild, it was unf*ckingbelievably packed with people last year that were ready to rage all night long. I think alot of those kids blew their wad that night and suffered for the rest of the weekend. I for one was ready to dance my 8-)ss off after sitting in line for so long, but I rationed my partying well ;D
I am looking forward to checking out the scene on Thursday...looking at the schedule, it seems like I won't have too much time to cruise the lot. I need to work out with my buddy what we are going to do Friday...it doesn't look like we will have time for anything except music (aww shucks!) This is my first Roo, and the info here from all of you vets has been invaluable! thanks! ;D
First year...no music on Thu, but a really cool time with the crowds grooving on each other...My favorite thing was when someone on one end of the campground would start yelling and it would start a chain reaction all through the campground(like a wave in a stadium) as it got later and later the "wave" lasted longer and longer as more people arrived. Last year...Late night music, but I actually never went because I was having too much fun with all the people I just met at the campsite.

Was there a big problem with that last year? I thought it was a rough ticket to copy.
Didn't go last year, but where there's a will there is a way. Igot counterfeits for second night of Phish in Cinci for there comeback tour so I'm cautious.

I wonder what will happen this year. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe The Machine was even scheduled to play at Roo? But who knows, all I know is I saw them recently and they were out of control. Right on with each song. They even jammed out Young Lust. If you put those guys on stage at Giants Stadium and told me it was Floyd, I wouldnt have guessed for a second. Im a big Floyd fan too, it was amazing, and quite the light show might I add. OK, done rambling now...
The Machine, along with tons of other coverbands were scheduled to play Bonnaroo last year. I saw a bit of the GNR coverband, Mrs. Brownstone on Saturday.
