The Package had a DVD called We have Arrived. the DVD is really good imo. It has some sets from the 04 DVD and a lot of backstage stuff. Trey being nervous about the orchestra. Stuff about The North Mississippi all stars. and various things backstage. There was a thing you could hang around your neck that was red. it had differnet pockets for your map/stage info, pens, extra paper, and a zip up pouch for money. It had a different stage info sheet that was more durable. The Ep downloads have been good so far. Here's what we got. Assembly of Dust - Samuel Aging Blue Merle - Burning in the Sun Citizen Cope - Hurricane Waters (Live) John Butler Trio - Betterman Tea Leaf Green - Garden III (Live)
Ray LaMontagne - Forever My Friend My Morning Jacket - Sooner Umphrey's McGee - Mail Package (Live) North Mississippi Allstars - Be So Glad (Live from Roo) Mike Doughty - Unsingable Name (Before it was released) Keller Williams - Gate Crashers Suck (Live)
I consider it a good deal. I get music and a 15% off shirts. A chance to buy my tickets early and This year a DVD. no idea what next years is gonna be. 30 bucks is a good price in my eyes.
I also met some awesome people from the Krewe board that helped increase the enjoyability factor down there. I totally agree about the DVD! I had initially been a tad disappointed by the lack of coverage when it came to the whole culture and behind the scenes aspects of Roo on the regular 2004 DVD. Well the "We Have Arrived" DVD picked up the slack and plays like a near perfect little documentary on Roo 2004.
I'm without a DVD burner, but I'm sure some of the kind Krewesters would be willing to trade up for copies!
WOW! I wish that I had been able to go this year because I definitely would have joined! I'm very jealous about the DVD! And everything else sounds really cool too. Even the digital EPs make it sound worthwhile. Thanks for the detailed info!
Hopefully someone here might have a DVD burner and (if not) maybe even someone could rip the DVD and post it as a torrent for those of us who didn't have the chance. Or, if someone wanted to let me borrow the DVD (I would certainly promise to return it! I've never had an overdue library book in my life!) I could do a nice rip of it and host it through a torrent site myself for the rest of us :-)
