Top 3 for me:
1) The Dead...But the AM Dew had me missing Jerry. When I hear that song I start to think of all the different stadiums/ampitheathers/civic centers I was blown out of when Jerry would wail that song.
2) Dave Matthews and Friends...I think Tim Reynolds is just the shizznit. Man he can tear up some licks. I f you haven't had the opportunity to see him solo...do it! He is a genius with the axe and the reverb and the loops and the synthesizing and the ... well I guess everything
3) Gomez...Not to short Bob Dylan out of the top 3 but I have been waiting a long time to check Gomeaz out live...and they didn't dissapoint. They have a great sound!
1) Chris Robinson and New Earth Mudd - Being right up front third row had a little to do with it, but thes guys rocked! They blew the roof of the tent with Warren Haynes.
2) Moe - My first time seeing them - amazing!
3) David Byrne - A very pleasant suprise - he was amazing and all the Talking Head songs in his set had the crowd dancing away.
4) Mule - Warren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5) Los Lonely Boys - The guitar player is extremely talented.
The first set of Trey was cool, but I found myself losing interest towards the end. I'm glad he stopped the classical stuff and got his ten piece band going when he did.
String Cheese and Moe. were very solid. I saw JMP for the first time (just a few songs) and I will definately be seeing them again. Wilco was awsome, Yo La Tengo was soothing. I was up front for Vida Blue w/Spam Allstars and HOLY SH!T those spam allstars can kick it, that place eruptued in glowsticks. MMW was amazing and then RRandonlph came out and made it even better. Sleeper show of the fest had to be Damien Rice though. I have never heard a voice so hauntingly beautiful as his. Thier drummer wasn't there but it was still awsome. Chris Robinson and NEM definately rocked, that's another one I gotta catch again. And the few songs I heard of Dave and Tim jammin, were out of this world. The music blew my mind, not the drugs.

i thought trey second set, SCI, moe., jmp, and sooo many others put on such great shows, but was anyone else at primus?? ive never been huge into primus but when i caught a glimpse of the crazy stage set up and heard the music, i had to check it out. the show was insane!!! id say primus was this years flaming lips. crazy show musically and theatrically, les claypool is such a quirky guy. i left when the guy next to me offered me cocaine, cause then it just got a little weird

1. wilco (they seem to get better everytime. also tweedy asking everyone if they were high then telling them he was not hillarious.) 2.robert randolph (don't stop till you get enough) 3.david byrne (great dancing)
Pretty close to the stage, and they were just killing people, as usual, a great set. Then---the rain came---and suddenly things went stellar. You could just smell the flair up of energy shooting around. The wind was just blowing them apart, and the rain was flooding the sh1t out of the stage. Jim James was just giddy, and he was the voice of god for a few moments. They managed to finish up their set with ((correct me if I'm wrong, I was floating out of my head trying to soak it all in)) Steam Engine, before there were forced off stage, for safety reasons I assume. WOW...WOW...WOW!
2.) Wilco
Like Paul said, they were sounding absolutely wonderful. Nels Cline is a great live addition, and I didn't believe people when they called him "Hendrix type of good," but he gets d**n close. They closed out with a brutally good version of Spiders.
Number 3 isn't so easy, because there was so much awesome stuff...but...no matter how much I doubted them...
3.) Ween
They really managed to blow me away, regardless of my sort of lame spot way in the back. I was sort of a wreck during this one, but they delivered...
I've never seen any musician sing with such emotion as he did. Along with the cello player and gorgeous keyboard player/singer, that might have been the most beautiful musical performance I've ever seen. He surprised me the most because I had never even heard of the bloke, and it was by far my fav of the festival.
2.) Wilco
This show was solid and Snoooozin' ! I'm so glad that Tweedy is back playing again...I pray his migraines just disappear.
3.) Robert Randolph
This was my first family band experience and I must say they woke me from my slumber. I've never seen so much energy and love emanating from someone while they play.
1.) SuperJam- Stanton Moore, Maceo Parker, George Porter, Eric Krasno, Neil Evans, Papa Mali...it was just sick!
2.) Damien Rice- This guy put his heart and soul into his shows and this was no exception. Managed to make it sound good without his drummer on hand.
3,) Trey- I am not a huge fan, but when you bring out an orchestra, then your bands and end it with a huge firework show you just can't go wrong!
Other shows that are note worthy to mention that was good,,,Cracker, Umphery's Praxis,Soulive, Burning Spear,Jem, North Mississippis, and Gomez! I also caught Xavier Rudd at the acoustic stage...his full set must have been sick.
