Aight this is a little bit off top but not too bad. ok, here's the deal; The shins (one of my favs) are coming to Asheville at the end of April, and Muse(another fav) is coming to Charlotte in April also. Here comes the problem, i only have enough money to see one. So which one should i see?...i mean there is the chance the shins could get added i suppose but i don't wanna bank on something i don't know for sure. So i come here for advice.
DUDE!!! I can't thank you enough for making this post. I wasn't aware that the Shins released tour dates. I just checked a couple weeks ago, and nothing. So I just ordered my tickets for the philly show. I've been waiting for over a year to see them, April 27th I will. Well you know what I'd tell you. I really like Muse too. I bought Absolution a few months ago. They don't have any dates in my area so I don't have your dilema. But sh!t man, the Shins haunt my dreams, so I'd go see them. And if by some chance they get added to B-roo, the more times the merrier, I say.
When I have to pick between two bands I like, for reasons of time or money, I go with the one I think will be the least likely to tour again nearby.
That's why I went with Bowie last spring over STS9. Bowie's an old dude who may never tour again (especially after his health issues cancelled some shows) and STS9 are some young bucks who seem to roll through every 6 months or so.
At Bonnaroo, I try to see acts I've never seen before over established ones that I know I like. However, some bands trump all the newcomers for me (Galactic, Les, etc.).
