I am excited about the Kings of Leon, caught them last year and they definitely rock! I am satisfied with the line-up as it is. As for major announcements to come an article in Relix mentioned they were working in Radiohead as a headliner. Not a huge fan, but they are a big name.

Radiohead....at bonnaroo....i would be a happy happy boy....but i don't see it happening since they are on hiatus or what have you. They just recently said they'd start work on a new album soon. but yeah....i don't see them being there....i see Tom Petty being the big one we're all waiting for....or the white stripes....or Beck...i'd say one of those three....but who knows i suppose
The round 4 additions didn't excite me a whole lot, but after Round 3 I was already more than satisfied with the lineup (the Word and The Perceptionists are two of my most anticipated acts). As long as everything is scheduled relatively conveniently, there is already more on the slate than I will be able to see. Except for Trey's set in 2002, the "headliner" sets have not been the highlights of Bonnaroo for me, so I'm more interested in diversity and variety in the tents and late night than the big names.
Overall I don't think the lineup this year is as strong as years past (for my tastes the lineup got progressively better each of the first three years), but last year there was WAY more I wanted to see on the bill than I could possibly manage. Its great to have options, especially when the inevitible scheduling conflicts come up, but I could probably name fifty bands from last year that I didn't even see. There are definitely 30 or so bands already on the bill for this year that should more than fill up my weekend.
There are rumours and ruminations about the possibility of Beck, Tom Petty, Radiohead and the White Stripes being added. I'm trying not to expect a lot, but if any one of those bands were added I think the strength of the schedule would be in the same territory of years past. If more than one was added it would really blow me away.
eh, round 4 didn't do anything for me. I wasn't overly impressed with round 3 either, a few good acts, but I'm still waiting for these "major" acts to be announced. Hopefully some will come soon.
