They were really, really solid. I had only read of them before Roo...they sounded like something I'd like, and was very happy I decided to check them out. Their drummer is like some enormous man-child just pounding away with precision and dwarfing his kit.
Unfortunately the crowd was horrible for them. Still, the relatively small amount of people who actually checked them out were really enthusiastic.
I was there. When I heard a local band was at Roo I made sure I caught the set. Damn good set it was. (I'm from Cincy). I was dissappointed at the size of the crowd as well. I figured there would be more people with only Umphreys and Citzen cope playing at the same time. Meh their loss.
Yeah, I wish they'd play a show here in PA. There hasn't been one to speak of yet. I hope there are great things in store for them. Stairs and Elevators is a superb album and it's only thier first. I adore the lead singer's voice.

Saw them in a local bar last fall opening for Drive-By Truckers along with Southern B itch. Great show, the crowd was really into it. All three bands featured female musicians, pretty cool...
I felt goofy - but I asked and they autographed my CD just before running up on stage. We'd listened to it several times on the drive from Michigan. Almost immediately after the big stage, we got to see them a second time on the really small stage. She's got great big voice... they're fun to watch.
