Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
"I feel like I remember one year they were on the roster and didn't have their own set at all, just led the parade and jammed with somebody but I could be making that up."
you may be thinking of the first year, where THE LIL' RASCALS BRASS BAND led the parade with Galactic and jammed with them on stage. However, The Lil' Rascals Brass Band still had their own daytime set.
When we went to Langerado, they cancelled Steel Pulse a day or two before the festival. They said that it was because they couldnt get the proper work visas to leave the UK. Im hoping that they are gunna be able to make it out here by Bonnaroo...They have said on their site (rarely updated) that they are finally ready for takeoff and they have Bonnaroo under the confirmed dates....Funny they never even mentioned Langerado on their site, maybe promoters of Langerado were just hopin they would come.
Balkan Beat Box myspace still says Friday, but I put them on Saturday with a question mark because I think a lot of people use the festival start date as a default/placeholder. Grace Potter news leaves us with five artists not on the list:
Common Les dios (malos) Steel Train Amadou and Mariam (I'm thinking Sunday for them)
Somebody dig up some info for these people, we're slacking!
I'll throw in my usual mention for newcomers to check out the first post in this thread to see the running list of what we "know" about the schedule so far.
I think dios (malos) are probably playing on Thursday. No reason at all, except they seem to be surrounded by bands playing on Thursday in the lineup, right near the end.
I moved Cat Power to Friday (with a ?) as her new "tour" announcement and Pollstar say. Her first tour cancellation announcement had the 18th listed so I was keeping it there previously.

Yeah, I think that's likely, but since I won't be there Thursday, I'm hoping for dios malos to be scheduled later in the weekend. I really like the couple of tracks I've downloaded. I can hold out some hope because the Cat Empire and Balkan Beat Box seem to have slots over the weekend even though they are down in Thursday-land on the artist list.
i agree with the dios malos prediction for Thursday. i saw the band scheduled for a small venue club by me and the ticket price was low (in comparison). this leads me to believe that they are an opener type of band, or just havnt gained a ton of popularity yet.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

So, with Electric Eel Shock now playing on Thursday, I think that means Thursday is full now.
I know last year, they had 8 bands playing the tent stages, and it easily could have been 9. (One tent only had 2 bands)
So, all in all with, The Motet, I-Nine, Matt Costa, EES, DeVotchka, Tortured Soul, Toubab Krewe, Marah, and The Wood Brothers all filling up Thursday, the big news is...
I would place a large bet that dios (malos) will be playing sometime during the weekend, and NOT on Thursday night.
Anyone care to try to guess the schedule? 3 bands to a tent...
And I meant to note: Robert Randolph's myspace lists him for Friday, and I could be wrong about this, but I think that just implies that's the day he will be arriving. The RRFB website lists them for all three days of bonnaroo (which is intersting because for other festivals they are playing they only list one day). This could be because they want to keep us unsure, could be because they don't know yet, or (as I'm hoping) it's because Robert Randolph will be rocking it all weekend like he did last year. We're really close to having the Word back together again, aren't we?

I honestly think it's too late for Pearl Jam as they need to headline or do late night saturday night. I'm afraid there may not be room left for them. Maybe I'm wrong. IT just seems a little late for a band of that magnitude. Perhaps next years headliner? Strange they are doing a festival though. Good find.
They were pretty clear about having headliners to announce yet- and I'm pretty sure Round 5 didn't include any.
Plus, Herbie's announcement was late. Remember that Tom Petty is opening for Pearl Jam on their tour, so Pearl Jam could end up in Petty's night slot and Petty during the day like Jack Johnson/Herbie.

If Pearl Jam take Petty's spot as a headliner i would be very disappointed. I'm not much of a fan of Petty but I do feel he is better suited to headlining bonnaroo then a band like Pearl Jam.
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."
i agree... and i think its pretty clear that the 3 main headliners are set... i think pearljam would be more likely to take a spot like theallman bros or the black crowes had.... but i seriously doubt they will be announced...
