I don't know if anyone was listening to Radio Bonnaroo before the announcement, but it is the same radio loop playing right now and some of the bands listed wednesday were also played on radio bonnaroo..I think thats their way of throwing hints. So, maybe there might be someone in there that they are playing that might be announced in the first two rounds(Santana,King Crimson, Built to Spill, Younder?) Those Bonnaroo people are mean..thats for sure :-P
Ohhh, Built to Spill would be great and with the new album on the way, would make perfect sense.
I dismissed them as "pretty good, I guess" a couple years back after hearing Ancient Melodies of the Future. Then I picked up Doug Martsch's solo album, Now You Know, which was more of a mountain music affair and it piqued my interest again. Just recently I grabbed Perfect From Now On and dl'd There's Nothing Wrong With Love. Not only can Martsch molest that guitar with the best of 'em, but their songs are oh so wonderful and possess a Roo ready epicness. I know their new album leaked a month or two back and I've heard good things. Let's hope!
Last year they were playing Herbie Hancock, Crows and others before the announcement. Mental note, pay attention to what is playing on Radio Bonnaroo before the announcements.
Last year they were playing Herbie Hanthingy, Crows and others before the announcement. Mental note, pay attention to what is playing on Radio Bonnaroo before the announcements.
Oh my God, don't say that. They just played Neil on Radio Bonnaroo. Don't get my hopes up...
