Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I think the promoters worded it a little differently. Obviously there are a a small few returning from last year, but besides this years lineup is fresh. I think what the promoters said was that they weren't having back many back to back performances. Anyways, I though I share this.
In the spirit of keeping you all informed so you can plan accordingly, we must announce that Tea Leaf Green will not be performing at Bonnaroo this year.
Rest assured that we made every effort to secure an invitation to return to the scene of last summer's spectacular set. Understand that our good friends at Superfly have a policy to try and not have back-to-back performances by the same band two years in a row. Applying this policy, we have been deemed ineligible to play this year.
We'd be lying if we said we weren't disappointed.
But even though we do not agree with the decision, we must respect it. The fine folks at Superfly have been supportive of us and our music over the years and we look forward to working with them again and again in the years to come.
If you are headed to Manchester this year, come a day early and catch our show at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, less than an hour east on June 14.
Let me know how it is. I have never seen them, but the past year the buzz has gone up .With the acts Bonnaroo has developed or relaunch their career(Umpheries, Flaming Lips, Matishayu, Robert Randolph,MMJ, and Secret Machines) you would think they would give them another run with their stock going up.
Last year, I helped with a local Blues Festival and coming from personal experience, it is hard to keep bands off the roster when they are used to playing.

Chins up, Leafers! We'll rock the 'Roo in '07!!!
This policy CAN'T BE TRUE, unless it is new for 06, and excludes MMJ, Umphrey's, Bela Fleck, Matisyahu, Robert Randolph, and steel train.
Also, it could be something personal with the promoters and the management. I have seen management of a band try to throw their weight around and the prmoter just say "screw you, you are not playing the festival" not sure if this was the case or not, but like I said before, they did cutdown on alot of back to back artists.
