I could def see this band added too...he ripped it up onstage last year with herbie and has a new album coming out..plus did anyone hear the ;live album?
Is this the trio that includes Pino Palladino on bass? He's one of the best studio bass players out there (his best stuff is on "neo-soul" albums like D'Angleo's Voodoo and Erykah Badu's Mama's Gun) and as far as I know, his only Bonnaroo appearance was in last year's Superjam (he may have played with Herbie last year, I don't know). I got a friend the album Try! for Christmas (which includes Pino) and it was different than I expected. For some reason I was expecting it to be instrumental and it was mostly Stevie Ray Vaughn type blues rock. Sounds pretty good though.
My favorite John Mayer bit is still his appearance on Chappelle (the "black people dance to drums, white people dance to guitar" bit).
I agree completely. Ever since Mayer left his poppy side and got back to the blues roots, he has really wowed me. A lot of people might be skeptical and expect "Your Body Is A Wonderland," but when he starts playing his strat, it'll blow people away.

yeah, the trio would be nice, that StevieRay vibe is sweet. The best part of that chappelle skit was when dave was yelling into the megaphone when they were playing the latin music, and you gotta love ?uestlove.
