I was reading a bit about Jam Cruise, and this special set of Pink Floyd/Beatles covered played by the Brain Damaged Eggmen, who, if I'm not mistaken, were a collaboration between Disco Biscuits and Umphrey's. Correct me if I'm wrong because I may well be. With that said, is there any chance that we'll be treated to even a set of this late night? (Especially since they're playing together). I mean... they play some of their own stuff, and then around 3 a.m. or so, they crack into all Beatles/Floyd covers. That would be outright incredible. And I know that now that it's been done, it's just not as "original" but I, for one, would be all about it.

i think you might be on to something at roo 04 Umph and Moe did a little switch a roo type deal were members of the different bands take a break and somebody else comes out, i have no doubts that Disco Bis. and Upm may do something like that during the late night

I am so hoping that this is going to happen! If they even play some of these tunes it would definitely be a weekend highlight. Who needs sleep? It's so over rated anyways...
Here's the setlists from the Jam Cruise -
1. setup 2. Baby You re Rich Man 3. I am the Walrus 4. I ve Got a Feelin Oh Yeah 5. Dear Prudence 6. Notable Jam A 7. Norg. Wood 8. She Came in Through the Bathroom Window 9. Come Together 10. Tomorrow Never Knows 11. Hey Jude
1. setup 2. Young Lust 3. Another Brick in the Wall Part I 4. Comfortably Numb 5. Have a Cigar 6. Breathe 7. Wish You Were Here 8. In the Flesh 9. Nobody home 10. Brain Damage
Brain Damaged Eggmen is Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein from the Disco Biscuits and Brendan Bayliss, Jake Cinninger, and Kris Meyers from Umphrey's Mcgee. The announcement email for the first artist additions said: Umphrey's McGee / Disco Biscuits - Special Late Night Tent Show
The two bands will be playing a late night set together so it seems likely that they would do a Brain Damaged Eggmen Beatles/Floyd set again or cover another band or two that Umphreys frequently covers i.e. Zeppelin, the Who, etc. That along with the fact that Jake Cinninger has sat in/appears on the album of the Bisco side project Conspirator should make for a pretty awesome late night show. Im Thinking....

^Thatd be nice, i hope that because its two bands they play all frickin night, a marathon show. Last year sts9 rocked out pretty late, and that was cool, but i think they mightv been about it.

This im sure will be the highlight of this years roo, i've been joking about how they moved the headliners to the tents this year. A few good additions and the right late night bands is what we need....

I don't think we will get to see a complete repeat of what happened on JamCruise but i put my money on getting to see them collaborate on at least some beatles and pink floyd songs. These bands love to play long sets. 2 years ago on JamCruise Umphrey's put on a 32 song set playing all through the night until the sun came up. This will definitely be one of the best shows of the weekend. Expect a very long 3-4 hour show if not more with these 2 bands playing together.
