Could people plese stop calling live recordsing bootlegs, they arent, pretty much every recording out there is authorized by the band, and its from the taper. They are not bootlegged from anything, or illegal. Sorry about the technicality, its just been bothering me, iv been seeing that word a few times around here.
Every Tool, Morphine, or Dylan live recording (plus a ton more I could look up), most all video of bands, etc. are rightfully considered bootlegs. Someone might not be using the word correctly, but they certainly exist.

Yah bootleg kind of implies illegal or something you have to hide... Tapers produce the recordings they have the rights to the recording(assuming they have the right to tape). Not having the right to tape and still doing so or having an unauthorized soundboard, would be bootlegging.
Does it REALLY matter? No, but alot of shit doesnt and we still talk about it
