Ive been listening to matisyahu for about 8 months now and i love it. His music is good shit and has some strong emotion radiating through it. What do you guys think about him at bonnaroo? Peace
I've only heard 2 of his songs and I thought they were both really good. I going to see him tomorrow so I'll definitely pick up his album then. He is actually one of the people that I'm most looking forward to see, so I'm really happy that he will be at roo.
Matisyahu was one of the highlights of my Bonnaroo last year (he has gotten SO huge over the last year, he sells out large venues in Chicago instantly it seems).
My favorite part was him coming out to do one of his own tunes with Trey during Trey's late night set. I have read that he toured with Phish (as a fan) when he was younger so it was quite a moment. His Sunday afternoon set was the best part of my Sunday, his energy is amazing. I will say that I am slightly underwhelmed by his band, but Matisyahu more than makes up for it with his diverse gifts and amazing energy.
New album coming from him in the next few weeks I believe.
He is really good. However, I do find it funny how he is such a big Bonnaroo hit, but he does talk about the ills of drugs. In an unrelated note, I saw his video on MTV. I hope that doesn't bring a wave of people criticizing him; he still effing rocks.
I just saw him last night and he gives a fantastic show. He did a great beat box and he has so much energy. He was running all around the stage, it kicked ass. I can't wait to see him at roo again.
Yeah, I was at the show on Saturday, too. I really enjoyed Matisyahu's performance. His beat box was amazing and I swear he almost did a stage dive. I can't wait to see him in June!
