I have been listening to this album since they released it on iTunes and WOW. I am very happy. A bit softer then the past releases due in part to the producer toneing the drums down a bit. Very good, I love it, anyone else been listening to this?

I really liked Now Here is No Where, but haven't been able to get into this one yet. I have only listened to it a couple times, but it hasn't grabbed me like I thought it would. I'll give it some time and revisit it later....I think I've been saturated with too much new music lately.

The thing with any secret machines album is you need to listen to them a couple times before you really start eharing all the music. All 3 albums I had to give a good few listens before I started to hear everything. When I first got Now Here is Nowhere I listened like 2 times and then it got shelveled. It was only a few months later that I gave it another shot and now they are easily one of my favorite bands.

That's usually how I am with albums, but Now Here... just stuck right away. I picked up their first EP (September 000, I think it's called) and that didn't take long either, so I guess my expectations were just a bit out of wack. I don't have their Road Leads Where it's Led EP yet, are the covers any good?
Regardless, I can't wait to hear the new songs live, they are awesome in person. I haven't been to Bonnaroo before so I haven't caught them here, but I saw them on a whim up in Detroit at the Shelter (the basement of st. andrews hall...a really neat venue) just after Now Here... came out and was blown away. I've since seen them open for Modest Mouse and Interpol respectively. Love em every time

I really want to love the Secret Machines. I keep waiting for Now Here to stick, and I bought it over a year and a half ago. I was supposed to go to Langerado, and I was hoping to see them live to see if their music finally caught me under different circumstances, but I had to cancel because of work. I'll see them at Lollapalooza and, hopefully, things will change. Pray for me.
I've only listened to it a couple times now, but I really like it. Especially #2-All At Once (It's Not Important) and the last song 1000 seconds. The album seems to have a lot bigger emphasis on synths this time, rather than guitar driven. Like some of the songs remind me of The Cure or something. Maybe I don't know what I'm saying. But that's the feel I get from it though. Anyone else find it weird that it's called 10 Silver Drops and there's only 8 songs?

Yeah I thought that was weird, 8 songs, ten silver drops. The first day it was out on iTunes it had 2 extra tracks. One was an aucostic version of one of the songs though so its not like it was 10 new full songs...not sure why it is named that. The 2 extra songs were only on for the first day and I didn't buy it till the next morning...oops!
