Seal?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? WTF is that all about. I'm all about a diverse lineup at Bonnaroo but that is ridiculous.
Yeah it drove me crazy this morning, I kept looking at he Bonnaroo main site to see the announcement. I thought maybe the internet was just slower here on the West Coast or maybe a time difference.
Seal is what made me think it was a hoax at first, then I remembered that the Gorillaz are not a real band. They are kinda like John Lennon and the Plastic Ono band. I heard mention a couple of months ago that they were going to do like this movie theatre concert thing simulcast at different theatres. It would be the cartoon band doing the show. I think it's like one guy doing all of the music and what not. I'm sure he could throw a band together that could play all of the songs, but that probably won't happen.

actually, the gorillaz is a real full band. they performed live at the grammys, behind a screen with an animation of the characters performing.
here's a listing of their lineup from when they played the Manchester Opera House, 1-5 November 2005.
List of Performers BAND Vocals & Piano - Damon Albarn MD/Keys - Mike Smith Guitar - Simon Tong Second Guitar - Simon Jones Drums - Cass Browne Bass - Morgan Nicholls Percussion - Karl Vanden Bossche Turntable - Darren Galea Guest Vocalist - Rosie Wilson
BACKING VOCALISTS Wayne Hernandez Sharlene Hector Wendi Rose Aaron Sokell
DEMON DAYS STRINGS Cello - Isabelle Dunn Cello - Dan Keane Bass - Emma Smith Viola - Amanda Drummond Viola - Nina Kapinsky Violin - Antonia Pagulatos Violin - Kirsty Mangan Viola - Gary Pomeroy Cello - Deborah Chandler
CHILDRENS CHOIR Parklands School & Newall Green School, Wythenshawe, Manchester
uummmm yea, the gorillaz is actually a large group, although most of the work is done by three of the members (primarily Damon Albarn, also the frontman of Blur). As far as their live stuff goes, most of the time the audience watches their animation on a big screen. I have not been to one, but it is supposed to be an interesting visual show on top of the concert. On that note, I feel like the Gorillaz are unlikely for bonnaroo, outdoor venues are not condusive to Gorillaz shows. If ever it were going to happen, they porbably would have played last year, seeing how as Demon Days had just come out (in fact, I pulled into Bonnaroo last year listening to that album). Regardless, this is not what Round Four is going to look like. If you're going to try to fool people, at least make-up something plausable. At this point I just want them to announce something, i don't care what it is, I've become addicted to checking bonnaroo's website for updates.

Did you here somewhere that fishman was getting back with jazz mandolin? He hasnt played with them in a while but that would be pretty sick if he was back with them.

no i havent seen that info anywhere, its just the last two times I have seen JMP fishman has been the drummer......he has although been playin with the Everyone Orchestra that includes Jamie from JMP so who knows......
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

I'm not sure about the other bands, but the Brian Jonestown Massacre is playing in Europe during Bonnaroo.
I dont really know anything about bjm, but i just watched that documentary not too long ago and it seemed like they were pretty split up. Does BJM still play, or is it just that anton guy.

I think if I check for round 4 additions one more time, I am gonna freak out, does anyone else think they need to add someone asap? Is anyone else obsessively checking this or is it just me? Come on Superfly, throw us a bone here, the suspense is killing us.
