Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Two weeks ago I would have bet the farm that we would hear something over the next two weeks (by today). Now I'm getting discouraged. And scared. If there's not an announcement today, I will get into the fetal position on the floor in front of my computer and sob. I will reach up to click refresh every few minutes until there is an announcement, but will be otherwise non-functional.
What's funny is I really don't care about further announcements. The Quannum adds that have leaked pretty much bring the universe into alignment for me, answer two years worth of pleas to Superfly, and leave me with far more amazing music to see than I will physically be able to, even if you assume some crippling conflicts. I just get a little rush when I see that "We are proud to announce..." and then scurry off to message boards to discuss and update my Bonnaroo playlist.
I figure if they are going to announce anything, it would be on a friday. People are generally in better moods and have just recieved paychecks. An fresh announcement might encourage some of these people to jump on board and buy a ticket. But ka is right, any more additions is just greedy, as I am already very worried about what artists I might have to miss.

We're starting to get to a point where we can eliminate a number of the bands that were potentially going to be a part of this: The Lips, etc. So it should be easier to pick out future acts. I think the Lips and Pearl Jam are becoming less and less likely, and Ween and Ryan Adams are becoming more and moreso.
I'd absolutely love to be in the middle of a good drunk, crinkling my toes in the sand, and hearing "Let It Ride" blasting out into the sunlight. That's my happy place...

Not that I'm, um, obsessive about this or anything, but two of the three announcements this year have come around 2:00 Central (the Oysterhead was in the evening).

the over under for number of times i refresh the bonnarro site/ this site to check for new announcements only to be kicked in the ballnuts with the lack of such announcement is: roughly 2,000 per hour.
please superfly, a guys ballnuts can only take so much.
The reason people are losing hope for the Lips is a number of reasons I believe. 1. They are or have already played some U.S. festivals this year. Lollapalooza, Sasquatch, Langaredo, etc. 2. They have (for the Flaming Lips) a full spring schedule. 3. I've posted this before, but they will be in Spain on June 2 and the UK on June 22 with European shows on the 23, 24, and I think the 25. Then they come back to do Lollapalooza in early August. I just don't see them going to Europe flying back for a week or two just to do Bonnaroo, flying back to Europe for a week, then flying back to do Lollapalooza. I am one of the biggest Flaming Lips fans that has never seen them live. I would give anything to see them at Bonnaroo, but I don't think it's going to happen. Let's all keep our fingers crossed anyways.

As much as I'd die for a Ween add, they have said in interviews that after their Bonnaroo experience they never want to play it again.
Out of curiousity, what was their qualm? Was it the crowd mix? Being put opposite Primus, Robert Randolph & the Family Band and Cut Chemist? The promoters? I'm just interested...

Excerpt of interview with Gene Ween:
It seems that more and more jam band fans are linking Ween with Widespread Panic, Leftover Salmon and their ilk.
"People who think that need to see the light -- any kind of light. What happened was that Phish started playing our songs, which was cool. Then we played the Bonnaroo thing, which was totally hippied out. Then our booking agent kind of took that flag and started running with it. Now in a way, money is money, and if it's going to increase our audience, that's fine. But the last hippie-fest we did, which was the Adirondack Festival -- that was it. Never, ever doing another one of those again. I had to listen to this fucking jam band for three hours in the rain, waiting to go on. I was like, 'Just kill me.' I can't take any more white boys noodling around on their guitars."
So Ween aren't in danger of drifting into jam-band territory any time soon?
"God, no. When you listen to Quebec, hopefully you'll see that." "

I agree with all of that, and am in the same boat having never seen them, but at least we'll get to see them on their own tour (w/sonic youth?) hopefully.
