Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
At this point any artist announcement short of John Lennon is not going to live up to the expectations of myself and several other members of this message board. If an addition doesn't happen within the next week, it better be because they are trying to decide which headliner to can in order to put a Phish reunion on the main stage. Until then I have to say Bonnaroo sucks. They have kept me waiting for far too long.
I feel your pain! I think alot of people are on edge. I mean the record for most people on at the same time has been broken twice this week..and its only March!
Yup, I'm dying. Those of with our tickets already purchased should get to know the full deal. I've built up all the "potential" artists in my head so much that very little news will satisfy me.

It seems like all that I have done in the past couple of days off of work, has been checking this page constantly all day. If you look at last years additions, the longest we had to wait was 30 days between Round 2 and 3. So far we are up to 24 days since the last announcement, so hopefully we get one sometime this week.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
haha! my boyfriend checks like 5x a day! even if i tell him I already checked he keeps checkin...we all are just hoping for that Phish;) But I'm not really getting my hopes up...best that way. I am still happy with the lineup so far though except for a few here and there but its gonna rock...can't wait!

Phish won't be playing there...when they do come back it will be either at a smaller venue that will be impossible to get tickets to or a festival of their own.
I don't think anyone seriously expects Phish. But rather something like adding the Jazz Mandolin Project and Vida Blue so the rumours will start flying. Or hell, give Trey his own set! Half his band is already there, aren't they?
Okay, maybe that was an overstatement, but at least Tony Hall is there.

Yah the Phish thing is rediculous... The announcements thus far have been a pretty big deal though (the last one didnt excite me but sonic youth is a big deal for alot of people). Like foudray said it really hasnt been too awful long since an addition... Im wondering if there will be less additions due to the larger amount of bands announced from the beginning...
i agree to a point. the lineup isn't as impressive as past years and the artist addition are dissappointing me as well. but there are some great bands so far and really to me, bonnaroo is defined by its music only so much before it becomes one of the best atmosphere's you could ever imagine. thats why i go.
they have to announce something soon.. but i feel like it will come as no surprise as it will be lyrics born blackalicious and scofield... maybe we will get an unexpected 4th but i doubt it...oh well hopefully they will get this one out of the way soon so we can get onto wondering when the next one will come

i think this lineup is already the best ever. but at least 1 more big name and a couple more good second teir artists would be cool. i have to agree that this waiting to announce is KILLING me, hopefully its b/c something big is in the works.
let go of the high expectations. Its very closed minded of you. You bought the ticket because its Bonnaroo. There is no way to not enjoy this years line up. If the line up were that important, you should have waited till all the artist adds were announced
I'm with Puregrrr on this one. I think this is the strongest top to bottom lineup since 2003, which I thought had the best lineup of any 'roo. A couple key additions might make this the best lineup yet.

I think what we have here is not a problem in the lineup but a problem with the tastes we all have in music. I tend to like indie rock and any groups with great guitar playing. This lineup has a ton of all of this. From my fav indie bands (Malkmus, Clap your hands, bright eyes) to some great guitar playing (buddy Guy, Radiohead, Phil Lesh, petty) This is a very exciting lineup. Its not a bunch of jam bands this year. Every year it has seemed to get farther away from that. If this lineup isnt what you want then dont go, its OK. I think all huge music fans will enjoy what this years fest has to offer. If your not excited about the line up, GO LISTEN TO SOME NEW BANDS and you might get real excited about the lineup. I have already found a few people I never heard of and would have never listened to if they were not playing the roo. It's OK if the same band (widespread, trey, etc...) who you have heard 3000 shows from and seen 100 times live is not going to be there.
This lineup is full of solid acts. Bands and musicians who are extremely talented at what they do. If there are not 10-15 artists on this list that you are interested in seeing live then I really don't know what to tell you.

true that... i have bitched about the lineup but fact is that my schedule is nearly full... im sure i will cry myself to sleep for days when they announce the schedules and i see all the impossible conflicts...there is only 2 latenights to be had and like 10 bands that should be doin latenights, i have a feeling its gonna be painful

yep.. but then youd hav alot less bands...maybe they should make it 15 days and let everyone play 4 hour sets on the main stage...i could deal with that

Hey I think the lineup is amazing. But when I am being told that more artists will be added, it should at least be some kicki ass bands. I have beef with people who complain that they are having too many comflicts. Oh myGod I have to decide between seeing a great show and seeing a great show. Cry me a river.
Even though I am a jamband fan, I am more of a music fan. I think the diverse lineup is great. I look at it this way. I have a chance to see new acts, hear new music, and even though it is not full of jambands, Phil Lesh and Friends ends the event!
Enjoy the diversity, you may find something you like outside of your comfort zone.

i hear ya... there has always been music i like, dislike, and have never heard before but they were always music that catered to a certain crowd... some of the new bands, i believe, are attracting a new crowd... thats the issue not the music itself....i think the roo atmosphere is strong enough to make it friendly and enjoyable no matter who is there, however i think alot of young first time festival goers may be there and may not completly understand the nuances of the festival community...im sure it will be a minor issue if any issue at all... but we can see where that progression can lead if ya get a bunch of young festival newbies all messed up, just look at woodstock, not saying thats gonna happen at roo, but there is an undeniable progression towards the mainstream..i assume it will level out at some happy medium (with this being the peak toward mainstream and it leveling back down hopefully) and we certainly dont need anything to increase the security or piggy presence at roo

'03: Bonnaroo won't be the same without Trey '04: Bonnaroo won't be the same with Dave, Maroon5/ without Widespread '05: Bonnaroo won't be the same with DMB/without the Dead
Its never exactly the same, and I acknowledge that there is a significant shift in the types of artists announced this year, but I am not the least bit worried that Bonnaroo won't "feel like Bonnaroo" to me this year. I'm more excited than ever for what is the best lineup Bonnaroo has had imo. I hope that a "new element" gets into the mix this year and sees how amazing Bonnaroo is, and I have absolutely no reason to believe that a "new" crowd will not be cool, open people there for the exact same reason I am. That's the experience I've had every year so far, and I have yet to hear any reason why I should expect anything different this year.
