Since the announcement I gave them a listen, and I like them alot. I know people are going to want to compare them to the white stripes, since it's just a guy on guitar/vocals and a girl on drums, but that is probably the only thing they have in common. While the Stripes are blues-driven, Deadboy is more of an acoustic/straight-up guitar sound. I would recommend their cd called "We Are Night Sky". If you can find their first full length release "If this is Hell, then I'm Lucky" then I would buy that too, but you have to find a copy first.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

I have the lastest release and it's ok. The album goes back and forth from heavy songs to light songs. I enjoy the heavy tunes. Even though its only 2 people they have more then just guitar and drum all the time. Select songs have bass, piano, a tuba. The heavy songs appeal to much much more then the acoustic guitar and singer only songs. I enjoy the songs Ancient Man, Kissed by Lighting & What the Stars Have Eaten.

Ok, I was VERY skeptical at first, but I am now sold on these guys and I am ordering their disc as we speak. "How Long Is The Night" is fantastic. You can go ahead and add them to my schedule. I'm psyched to see what they can do live.
