i actually just saw common a couple of weeks ago. there are 4 people on stage...common up front, of course...and then lined up in the back, from left to right is a drummer, a DJ, and a guy who plays piano/keyboard...it's a really really really great show

It was by far the best hip-hop show i've seen. The man can even breakdance and freestyle incredibly well.

i hear common is good live but i was supposed to see him twice live but he cancelled both. he was supposed to be at this reggea fest with toots, and the marley brothers but he cancelled and he was supposed to open for kanye but he cancelled and we got stuck with fantasia burrino. the crowd booed her off stage which was sad, but kinda funny. i can't wait to see him at roo, but i'm more excited for the streets
