"4/27/06 - Trey & Mike to tour; Phish to return In an interview on an Atlanta radio station today, Trey (likely in Atlanta for studio work with a producer he's teamed up with before) confirmed rumos that he, Mike, and the Benevento/Russo duo will tour together this summer. Though tickets and billing will likely portray some hierarchy among the bill's acts, rumors (based on previous things Mike and Trey have said) describe the tour as some sort of interactive meld, with each of the 3 doing their own stuff, as well as some interaction among them.
Trey also mentioned that he "hopes to get Phish back together in a few years", dispelling rumors of an October 2006 reunion but confirming common suspicions that this "breakup" is really a second hiatus."
So... Phish will be back
And apparently Trey, Mike, and Duo are gonna be touring with Lesh as well.
Here's to hoping to seeing that foursome play a set at Roo'... although it will probably be impossible w/ Trey only being there on Friday
But at least this gives me some other tour to see this summer besides the biscuits
" Today (4/27) on Sirius Radio, Trey Anastasio announced that he will be touring with Mike Gordon, and the Benevento/Russo Duo. This four-some grew out of recording for Trey's new album, Bar 17 which features the Duo and Gordo. This new band will tour for about three weeks over the summer and will be opening for Phil Lesh & Friends. There is no release date set for the album, but Trey hopes to have it on shelves by the time the tour begins.
Trey also made reference to the fact that it is "definitely" not out of the question that Phish may re-group.
