Also don't forget that Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac will be on stage with him as well as a more than probable guest appearance by Trey Anastasio since they are touring together for the first part of the year. Should be kick ass
Nicks isn't a rumor. Its been reported on numerous news sites and her official site www.nicksfix.com/
I'm a big fan, but I dont think TP&HB has done too many 3.5 hour shows. 3 is about the longest they do, and thats usually when they play the smaller theatres or auditoriums.
See if you can hunt down one of the Fillmore shows or the Vic Theatre in Chicago shows from two years ago.
I am aware that Tom Petty has been around for so long and that he has a lot of material that he can use its just the fact that normally he does not jam out his songs, so that would mean that he would be playing like 35 of his five minute songs which i dont have a problem with at all.
Tom Petty for sure can fill 3 1/2 hrs. A couple a years ago as my girlfriend tells me he got fined for playing over his time at the Shoreline Amphitheater. They have a policy where you have to stop at a certain time at night because it's around neighborhoods and Petty said screw it I'll pay the fine and he kept playing. Petty just loves to play. I don't think they would give him a such a huge set if he didn't say he would fill it.

I just looked at her web site. It does not say anything about Roo. It says 8 shows. If you look at Tom Petty's schedule and count 8 shows it matches the dates on her site. No where does it say Roo at all. I think you are misinformed...If Stevie Nicks was going to be there I think she would have been announced as his special guest.

I'm pretty sure the website says she will with petty through the first eight shows from june 9 through june 21. If you count all the shows between the two dates there are eight including Bonnaroo so i'm pretty sure we'll see a stevie nicks appearance.

He will definetely bring it all the way to the end, and there will be multiple special guests for sure. This is his last tour, EVER! I'm sure he's totally gonna love making music for us that night. Rock on Tom.
true. but he was a young man back then. but i am expecting huge things out of pettys set. im guessing 3 hours + wioth lots of guests. definetly trey but i suspect maybe a few more. i cant wait. this is one of my sleepers for top 3 shows at roo this year. it will be my first time seeing him and i have always wanted to. i cant think of a better way to see him for the first time then headlining at roo on an anniversary tour with stevie nicks, trey, and who knows whoelse will show up. i for one am overly excited about this.
Another question is it possible for radiohead to go longer than the two and a half hours they are given cause that would blow my mind if they played a three or a three and a half hour show
